Bitcoin proved something no one thought was possible: money without a bank, a government, or a middleman. That's not up for debate. It's permanent. But 16 years later, a second question emerged—🧵
Quick one for the weekend 🧡💚
If Bitcoin proved money can work without a bank... what's the one thing YOU think the next generation of crypto needs to prove?
Speed? Usability? Something else?

Bitcoin proved money doesn't need a bank. That's the Model T — untouchable.
Kaspa is the Lamborghini: same proof-of-work DNA, built for real speed.

This Week in Bitcoin & Kaspa
BITCOIN
Trading near $76K, testing support above $74K after tagging a $77,278 high
Fed hiked rates 25 bps to 3.75–4.00% on Sept 16; 10-yr yield hit 5.00%, the highest in months.
Spot BTC ETFs saw $450M+ in redemptions this week (Fidelity and BlackRock led outflows).
The Senate's Digital Asset Market Clarity Act failed to cloture (49-50)—regulatory clarity delayed again.
KASPA
KAS up ~32% over 7 days on broad altcoin rotation
Standard Chartered is acquiring Zodia Custody, KAS's institutional custodian, since 2024—a real step toward bank-grade custody.
Meanwhile, the network just kept doing its job: 10 blocks/sec, sub-second confirmations, zero downtime.
Same proof-of-work roots. Different stage of the story.

Myth: "You can't be fast and decentralized. Pick one."
Bitcoin didn't try to be fast—it optimized for security first, years before "the blockchain trilemma" was even a phrase. Respect where it's due.
Kaspa didn't accept the trade-off. GHOSTDAG orders every block a miner finds—even ones mined in parallel—instead of discarding them like Bitcoin does. Result: 10 blocks/sec, sub-second confirmations, and the same proof-of-work security model underneath.
Not a fork of Bitcoin's compromises. An evolution past them.
Model T → Lamborghini. Same road, different machine.

#KaspaLightning Network exists because Bitcoin's base layer can't handle everyday payments on its own. Kaspa's bet: what if the base layer just... could? BitcoinKaspa.com kaspa:native
Bitcoin proved money doesn't need a bank.
Kaspa proved money doesn't need to wait.
⏱️ BTC confirmation: ~10 min
⚡ KAS confirmation: ~1 sec
Same proof-of-work security. Same fixed supply. ~600x faster settlement.
Model T → Lamborghini.
Bitcoin taught the world that money doesn't need a middleman. That milestone stands forever.
Sunday question: when you explain Kaspa to someone new, what's the ONE stat that makes them stop scrolling—10 blocks/sec? Sub-second confirmations? Something else?

Bitcoin proved money doesn't need a bank. Not up for debate—it's why we're all here.
Kaspa's chasing the next question: how fast can proof-of-work go?
If Bitcoin's the Model T, what's non-negotiable in the Lamborghini—speed, fees, something else?

The blockchain trilemma: decentralization, security, scalability. Pick two.
Bitcoin picked decentralization and security and stayed slow on purpose.
Most "fast" chains picked scalability by quietly giving up decentralization.
Kaspa is the only serious attempt I've seen at pulling toward all three at once—via GhostDAG instead of trade-offs.
Change my mind.

Satoshi's whitepaper described peer-to-peer electronic cash — fast, cheap, and usable by anyone, anywhere.
Bitcoin became something incredible: the soundest form of digital money ever created. But it also became slow and expensive to use at scale.
Kaspa is the part of the original vision that never got finished.

If Bitcoin didn't exist yet and you were designing it in 2026, knowing what we know now about speed and scale, would you build it exactly the same, or would you build Kaspa?
Bitcoin proved decentralized Proof-of-Work money works.
Kaspa proved PoW can also run at 10 blocks/sec with zero orphaned blocks—same security model, completely different speed.
By the time Bitcoin confirms 1 block, Kaspa has already confirmed ~6,000.

The 4 stages of becoming a KASPA GEEK:
1️⃣ You saw kaspa:native trending and bought some out of FOMO.
2️⃣ You tried to explain GhostDAG at a party and got uninvited.
3️⃣ You actually went back and learned how Bitcoin works first.
4️⃣ certified KASPA GEEK. 10 blocks/sec. zero doubts.
You cannot skip the stage. 3. Tag someone still stuck on stage 1. 👇

Kaspa confirms 10 blocks per second on mainnet. Right now. Not a claim—check any explorer yourself.
Bitcoin proved decentralized money could exist. Kaspa is proving it can also move at the speed the world runs at. $KAS
Kaspa: 1 block every 100ms.
10 blocks per second. Live. Right now.
Not a roadmap. Not a testnet. Not a promise.
This is what 'fast' actually looks like when you stop treating speed as a tradeoff.
Bitcoin block time: ~10 minutes. Enough time to make coffee, lose an argument on Crypto X, and forget why you opened your wallet app. Kaspa block time: ~1 second. You don't even get time to blink. That's the whole pitch. 😀
WARNING: this graphic converts Bitcoiners into Kaspa fans faster than any airdrop. Side effects include checking block times, feeling things about a blockDAG, and retweeting immediately. Kaspa fans, it's basically your job now → BitcoinKaspa.com
