Between day 250-300, is typically when bitcoin continues to fall and make new lows.
This cycle, btc has continued to grind higher.
Day 294 of this bear market, statistically another 60 days left.
Still believe it will be shorter in duration, front running the Q4 bottom

Gm Folks
We are back!
This is another edition of the Predict Alpha Report, our bi-monthly collaboration with @CoinsiliumGroup tracking the rise of prediction markets, event-driven finance, and the growing role of AI agents within it. Each edition focuses on the signals that matter, from capital flows and fundraising activity to regulatory shifts and product innovation. As information is increasingly priced in real time by both humans and machines, the Predict Alpha Report will track where these signals lead.
But first, let’s get this part out of the way:

💰 Largest Single Event Market In Kalshi’s History!
@Kalshi’s contract on the 2026 World Cup final between Argentina and Spain has surpassed $1.27 billion in trading volume, making it the largest single event market in the platform’s history! Total World Cup trading on Kalshi has exceeded $25 billion, compared with roughly $2 billion for the NBA Finals and $1 billion for the Super Bowl. Polymarket is seeing a similar rise in interest, with nearly $3 million traded on the final, more than 64,000 users visiting the match market, and $4 billion traded on its overall World Cup winner contract since July 2025.
The surge shows that prediction markets are becoming a way for fans to follow major sporting events. However, high trading volume does not guarantee accurate forecasts as both Kalshi and Polymarket initially favoured the losing teams in the France–Spain and Argentina–England semifinals, with prices shifting as the matches unfolded. Earlier-round predictions were more reliable, so these markets may be useful measures of public expectations, but football’s unpredictability remains part of both their appeal and their risk.
💰Compute Futures
Kalshi has launched futures contracts tied to the future price of AI computing power, giving traders a way to bet on where the cost of GPU access is heading. The product was led by Uday Shah, Kalshi’s new chief risk officer and a 16-year CME Group veteran. Kalshi says its prices will come directly from market activity rather than private deals, which could help create a clearer benchmark for a fragmented market where compute costs vary by chip, location, and use case.
The bigger bet is that computing power will become a major tradable commodity as companies spend heavily on AI infrastructure. Kalshi estimates hyperscalers could commit more than $500 billion to $600 billion in 2026 alone, while CME and ICE are also developing compute-related products.
💰 Introducing… Margin Trading
@Polymarket has applied for a US Futures Commission Merchant licence through its affiliate, Coming Home GBA LLC, as it looks to introduce margin trading for prediction markets. Approval would allow eligible users to open larger positions without paying the full value of each contract upfront, though its launch still depends on the CFTC.
Margin trading could make Polymarket more attractive to professional and institutional traders, and the move puts Polymarket in closer competition with Kalshi, which secured a similar licence earlier this year. However, it would also introduce stricter identity checks, customer-fund rules, and risk controls, while pushing prediction markets further toward the structure of traditional derivatives platforms.
And rounding up this section:
💰Predictive Labs Launches Nijinn as Coinsilium Expands Strategic Investment
@Predictive_Labs has unveiled Nijinn, its first commercial product, marking a significant milestone in the company's evolution since Coinsilium's initial investment in March 2026. Designed as an independent analytics platform for the rapidly expanding prediction markets sector, Nijinn aggregates data and market intelligence from multiple venues without providing trading, execution, or custody services. Its first release is expected to offer tools for cross-venue arbitrage, market making, performance analysis, and hedging, with early access launching during
@Wikiexpo_global Hong Kong later this month.
In recognition of Predictive Labs' successful delivery of key development milestones, Coinsilium has exercised its option to invest a further US$200,000, increasing its total investment to US$350,000 and its ownership to nearly 12% of the company. Coinsilium also retains rights to make further staged investments in Predictive Labs, potentially increasing its shareholding to nearly 30% as additional milestones are achieved.
📌 FYI: Coinsilium’s shares are traded on the Aquis Stock Exchange Growth Market in London, under the ticker symbol "COIN", and on the OTCQB Venture Market in the United States under the ticker symbol "CINGF".
But it’s not just capital flowing into the space.
Keep reading for the latest signals in regulation, adoption, and structure.
📈 Industry Pulse
⚡️Track the FDA
Kalshi is launching prediction markets tied to late-stage clinical trials and FDA decisions, giving traders a way to take a position on the outcome of a specific drug rather than the company developing it. The markets are being built with AppliedXL and will cover more than a dozen FDA decisions at launch, including experimental cancer treatments from Gilead and Summit Therapeutics. Each contract will be settled using a named public record, such as an FDA approval letter, an advisory committee vote, or a trial’s registered primary endpoint.
The pilot will only include late-stage trials that have finished enrolling, with the outcome criteria fixed before trading begins. Kalshi will also require employment verification and block anyone with material non-public information from participating. For biotech investors and drugmakers, the contracts could offer a more direct way to price and manage the risk around major regulatory milestones, while making market expectations around new treatments visible in real time.
⚡️Banks and AI
Abrigo has unveiled APX, an AI platform designed to coordinate lending work across banks and credit unions. It is expected to launch in Q3 2026 and will use specialised AI agents to handle tasks such as collecting documents, reviewing data, managing exceptions, and checking loan files, while keeping staff in control of key decisions.
Unlike basic automation tools that complete isolated tasks, APX is designed to manage workflows across the full lending process, from underwriting to servicing. It also records how decisions are made, applies each institution’s policies, and creates a complete audit history, which could make it easier for banks to adopt AI without losing the oversight regulators expect. Abrigo estimates the platform could reduce manual work by more than 40%, giving lending teams more time to focus on customers.
⚡️Oracle’s AI Workspace
@Oracle has launched a new pro-code workspace within AI Agent Studio, giving developers and AI coding agents a place to build, test, and host specialised applications inside Oracle Fusion Cloud. These applications can connect directly to the finance, HR, and operations systems companies already use, rather than operating as separate chatbots or standalone tools.
The main advantage is control. Applications built in the studio inherit Oracle Fusion’s existing security rules, approval processes, data boundaries, and audit records, making them easier to use in sensitive business workflows. Microsoft, SAP, and Salesforce are also pursuing similar strategies.
⚡️Reuters & MCP
@Reuters has launched a Model Context Protocol server that lets customers connect AI agents directly to the news and media included in their Reuters subscriptions. MCP is an open standard that helps AI systems access external tools and information, meaning organisations can now search, retrieve, and download Reuters content without building separate integrations for every workflow.
The server could help newsrooms and research teams automate time-consuming tasks, such as finding relevant images, assembling multimedia stories, and adapting reporting for different audiences. More broadly, it gives companies a way to feed verified, structured news into AI systems at a time when the accuracy and sourcing of machine-generated information remain major concerns.
And that’s it!
Long read, but if you enjoyed this, set a reminder in your calendar for the next edition of the Predict Alpha Report.
Thanks to Coinsilium, we’ll be dropping these updates every other Monday, i.e, twice a month.
Till then,
Thank you for being a part of the When Shift Happens family.

Eddy Travia: When Bitcoin is at $120K everyone's price predictions move to a million. When it drops to $70K everyone calls $30K.
Neither is right.
"The market is exaggerating both in both ways."
"When Bitcoin is below, or let's say half of what it was a year before, personally I feel the risk is much lower."
"The fact that you can buy it today, lower, should be an opportunity."
