Democrats wanted crypto filers held personally liable for submitting false information to regulators— something the Clarity Act does.
Any guesses how Democrats voted? That's right; they voted no.

I updated the Thailand entry on the Global Bitcoin Regulatory Map.
The reason: Bitcoin ETFs are coming to the Thai stock exchange.
On 8 October, the Thai SEC issued 11 notifications. They take effect on 16 October.
What the rules say:
- Bitcoin eligible from day one.
- At least 80% exposure to one asset.
- Coins held by SEC regulated custodians.
- Foreign crypto ETFs stay out for most investors.
Thailand now has a regulated way to get Bitcoin exposure on the stock exchange.
But an ETF share is not a UTXO. You own fund units, not keys.
Will Thai investors stop at the ETF, or use it as a first step to holding their own keys? 👇

One set of rules hasn’t changed since 2009. The other gets rewritten every time the political winds shift.
Which one would you rather build your savings on?

Legal tender is money you’re forced to accept. Chosen tender is money you actually want.
If you could only pick one for your savings, which one are you choosing? 👇

Our Bitcoin GIFs just passed 1 million views on GIPHY.
Honestly, I didn’t see that coming.
They started as a small side thing. A few reactions made for fun.
Turns out a lot of you are using them.
That’s the idea behind everything we build: useful stuff for Bitcoiners, free.
A newsletter on Bitcoin law.
A game to test what you really know.
A website that explains the legal side in plain words.
And now GIFs.
Nothing extraordinary. But if one of them makes someone laugh in a group chat, or helps a friend understand Bitcoin a little better, I’m happy.
Thank you for using them.
And if there’s a Bitcoin reaction you keep looking for and can’t find, tell me. I’ll make it next.

One side needs a legal team to interpret it. The other fits in two numbers: 21M and 10 min.
When was the last time a law was this easy to understand? 👇

Some weeks, Bitcoin law barely moves.
This wasn’t one of them.
Today’s issue of The Bitcoin Act covers what lawmakers and regulators said this week, every vote and deadline coming up next week, and the five numbers that stood out.
From Washington to Bangkok.
Already read it? Did you like this one? 👇

Growth has been slow these last few days.
Some days, a handful of new subscribers. Some days, barely any.
I don’t care.
I didn’t start The Bitcoin Act to go viral. I started it because I love this stuff. Bitcoin, law, regulation. Every new bill, every court ruling, every regulator changing its mind.
Twice a week. Tuesday and Sunday. Whatever the chart says.
Bitcoiners already know how this works.
You don’t stop stacking because price went sideways.
You don’t quit because a week felt boring.
Low time preference isn’t just for your savings. It’s for what you build.
Tick tock, next issue.

I have done this with every issue. It is a direct payment to other Bitcoiners, not a promotion and not a contest.
