London is special case regarding taxi culture. I wonder what the same survey in other uk city might be like. I‘m not surprised by this. The resistance to technology is strong where replacement, not augmentation is concerned.

Made it to Spain for totality. Not quite @AJamesMcCarthy but pleased to capture some corona and prominences. Quite the experience. And turned out to be a good omen for son‘s results too. #grateful

A concept captured beautifully by Diane Morgan in Ann Droid.

In fact programming is particularly good at teaching you how to think. Programs are literally built out of ideas. Which is one reason it's still a good idea to study CS in the AI era. It's still important to be able to think well.

Our breakthrough work on an analog optical computer points to new ways to solve complex real-world problems with much greater efficiency. Super to see this published today in @Nature. news.microsoft.com/source/fe…

Icarus and Ringo safely through to the semis. And one will advance to the final. The third year running for a Radley team in the finals. Outstanding! @RadleyCollege @RadleyEnrich

In a lovely moment, Ibex post a 26 skills to place 5th with the skills queue getting shorter and shorter. A great testament to their skill and a super contrast to a difficult qualification session. Two teams in top 5 national skills. 👌

Of course fate is cruel. Ibex face off with Ringo in the first round and all Radley teams are on the same side of the draw. So many good robots. I’m not guessing who wins this. Good luck everyone! #omgrobots #vexuknationals

So. Qualifying ends. Ringo and Icarus in the top ten, Ibex having a tough two days lie in 32nd. Icarus picked for 2nd seed by Int. Ringo swept up into 6th seed picked by Chaos. Ibex pick up a drive for 11th.

And finally on day one, despite some rotten luck in quals, Ibex are 5th in Skills with a super driven round of 46 - a season best for them.

Other teams having a great time - Ringo are sitting in 6th. A great place for an alliance.
