The no one stomping hot guys out part gets me too. They are all complicit. And soft. And bad people. – at Portland, CT

Sunday, August 23! Six run bottom of the ninth capped by titanic Schwarbomb to beat the Cardinals 6-4. And I got to enjoy it in person with my awesome son! – at Portland, CT

Absolutely brutal pitch. Could not set it on a tee better.
This is so bang on right!

This kinda nails the main issue that bothers me so much with this team. They carry themselves like they won that world series. They act like, and the FO treats them like they’re this legendary core. They constantly say we’ll come back like we always do, but they haven’t actually done that. They talk about how important it is to have home field but they haven’t won at home in the playoffs in 4 years. It’s an extremely weird disconnect - especially when the team across the street lost a Superbowl
and came back and won one within 2 years.

Lifeless. They are extremely hard to watch right now.

It’s so clear how he will win a batting title with a fourth different team in four years. He is one trick pony. A slap hitter with next to no power and a pretty brutal defender.

It's really getting tough to root for these guys.

I've never in my life walked away from a baseball game thinking an umpire got a call wrong on purpose. They make mistakes all the time, as all humans do, but I've never thought one was intentional before.
Doug Eddings intentionally botched that play at home plate.
He knew the Cardinals couldn't challenge. He had just been embarrassed by Oli after whining about a player's hat, ejecting him, and then calling a vindictive pitch-clock violation for no reason other than pure ego.
Then he absolutely botched that call at the plate on purpose. He was looking right at it. It was as blatant as could be.
This is a new one for me. I've never seen an umpire make an intentionally bad call in retaliation before. Shameful.
Hell of a win by the #stlcards though. I hope @MLB investigates that one.

The Cardinals players are wearing their hats crooked tonight
Last night Doug Eddings demanded that pitcher Hancel Rincon (in his MLB debut) straighten out his hat
