The winter Walking Challenge group walks got off to a flying start over the weekend at Corfe Castle!
The theme was 'connecting with... your body' and we did just that, walking up hills and clambering over stiles 👏
Thank you to everyone who came 💚
We spent a lovely evening with Corfe Mullen Brownies teaching them about amazing coastal birds and epic migrations.
What a wonderful group with some very dedicated leaders, who hopefully now know a little bit more about their local bird life 🦆🦅
Spaces are filling up nicely for our Winter Walking Challenge group walks, so if you haven't booked on yet... this is your sign!

We have an exciting bit of news... Pergins Viewpoint is under construction at Upton Country Park!
This project has been developed and delivered in partnership with Upton Country Park, Birds of Poole Harbour, and the Bird And Recreation Initiative.

Thanks to everyone who came to see us at Bird Fest at Arne!
It was a pleasure to be one of the speakers and present our talk which was all about how nature lovers should share their passion with as many people as they can 🙌🌿🦔🦅😊

Don't be the cause of a wildfire! ⚠️
There is an extreme risk of wildfires starting and spreading. If you are visiting the countryside, please follow this advice to reduce the risk of harm to people and nature.
Please share this message to keep people and wildlife safe.

ALT A warning with a background image of a wildfire. The text at the top reads "Severe Wildfire Risk." Below are symbols with slashes through them, indicating no barbecues and no littering. A third symbol shows a fire engine with the text "Call 999 in emergencies." At the bottom, it says, "Follow these rules to keep you and our environment safe."
Join us around Poole Harbour this summer for some fun events!
As always, look out for our flag... See you out there ☀
Thinking back to this unusual Canada goose we saw in Lytchett Bay last winter!
The front of the head is usually black, but this bird has white feathers instead.
It's interesting to see variation like this amongst birds, have you ever spotted something out of the ordinary?
We had a lovely afternoon celebrating the Baiter Park mural with the designers, artists, and friends! We've even been featured in the Bournemouth Echo and Yahoo online! So good to see the artwork and our iconic coastal birds getting the recognition they deserve 👏

We're still not over the Baiter Park mural and thought we'd highlight some more details from the designs to take us into the bank holiday weekend.
If you're out and about in Poole this weekend, head down to Baiter and check it out 😊
Back with Brenscombe Outdoor Centre for their fourth year of Wildlife Friendly Watersports in a row!
During sessions, we teach watersports instructors about the amazing wildlife around Poole Harbour and how both them and their clients can be more wildlife friendly on the water.
Watch as we take you stop motion style around each side of the Baiter Park mural to show you the painting process! 🎨
The final reveal of the Biater Park mural is here!
We worked with talented students from Arts University Bournemouth to design and paint the toilet block, taking it from drab to fab 👌
Watch to the end for the final reveal, which includes some iconic birds found at Baiter Park.
Last week we met the amazing Poole Sea Cadets! They invited us to present about Poole Harbour's migratory birds and the work we do to help them. What an incredible group of young people... energetic and ready to get involved in shouting out guesses to our true or false questions!
How is it the last day of the winter bird season already?! We're seeing off the season at Upton Country Park with a pop-up, come and say hi 😊
