Dartford warbler on ‘bluethroat trail’ by Gc dump (see map). Snow bunting by the raised tee, a flyover Lapland bunting. A little gull south with a small movement of other wildfowl. Blackbirds in every bush, with odd redwing, songie, fieldfare and brambling. @lonsdalebirding
A Beautiful Marbled sitting on the outside of the trap was pleasant surprise yesterday morning! @BritishMoths

Spring magic! A cracking male Redstart was a very welcome sight at Holland Haven this morning, with other highlights being Whimbrel, Sedge Warbler, House Martin, Sand Martin and a Lesser Whitethroat! @BirdingHaven @EssexBirdNews #essexbirdwatching
What a beauty! The Taiga Bean Goose at Hen Reedbeds showed very well yesterday afternoon (Lifer #247), very nice hearing my first Sedge Warblers of the year too. Other highlights included Red Kite, 100's of Sand Martins, 4+ Marsh Harriers and pinging Bearded Tits.
Split off from my parents yesterday at Minsmere to have a look at the scrapes, I then received a phone call from my dad but due to poor signal I couldn't hear what he was saying. 10 minutes later I receive a picture of a WTE flying over!🤣 #gutted

Thanks @_BTO for speedy reply. One of the male Reed Buntings visiting my garden currently was ringed by Simon Cox at @BirdingHaven in October 2019!
And that's a wrap! 2020 has been such a chaotic year but I've had some great times along the way! I managed to pick up a few lifers such as Bee Eater, Gull Billed Tern, Rufous Bush Chat, Dusky Warbler, Temmicks Stint, Tundra Bean Goose and Blyth's Reed Warbler just to name a few!
My turn! A lovely afternoon spent with the Mistley Quay Med Gull in some stunning light 😍 And a bonus Sparrowhawk as well! @EssexBirdNews
Fantastic morning at Holland Haven with a lifer in form of a Tundra Bean Goose, with 3 individuals in total a top find by @lonsdalebirding! Other highlights included White-fronted Geese, Barnacle Geese, Great Skua, purple sand and much more! @EssexBirdNews
After receiving this lovely gesture by the Holland Haven regulars, it reminded me that I hadn't posted any of my 'decent' Dusky Warbler shots. So here you go, enjoy!
Cracking afternoon in Norfolk! Started off by ticking the Rufous Bush Chat at Stiffkey (✅), what a bird 👌🏻 Then we moved onto Holme and ended the day with Red Flanked Bluetails (✅) Other highlights included 'Eastern' Lesser Whitethroat, Pink Footed Geese and lovely scenery!
Great morning in the Frinton/Haven area with crippling views of Dusky Warbler, then to the Haven where I had nice (but brief) views of YBW, Firecrest and Woodcock! Along with hundreds of Redwing, loads of Goldcrest and a couple of Fieldfare! Bring on Norfolk 😁 (📷 @MattJBonnar )

Dusky warbler still @ frinton on sea this morning. Ranging up and down hedge here, please keep to public rights of way if going. – at Clacton-on-Sea, England
What a way to finish the week! I managed to find a Dusky Warbler in the Frinton-On-Sea area this afternoon whilst on my bike ride. Bird was very active calling all of the time and showing occasionally, was about a metre and half away at all times 😳 Location details below ⬇️
The location of the bird is difficult to access, if bird is still present in the morning more location details will be put out. @EssexBirdNews @BirdingHaven
