Still some beauties around this week in County Antrim.

The continuing joy of Yellow Rattle. Now, as a seed head, living up to its name while providing the perfect posts for Common Darters.
Having seen a very trampled down version of this Common Bur-reed on Monday, I was amazed to find a more upright (if unreachable) versio yesterday. The little pods look.like cauliflowers to me! #wildflowers
Not sure I've ever seen a more luscious 'berry' than a Devil's Bit Scabious flower not yet opened. No wonder the bees go mad for them! #wildflowers #purple
Along the margins of a rainy Bog Meadows in Belfast this morning, my heart lifted to see little pockets of Water-mint, Celery-leaved Buttercup, White Bedstraw and Marsh Woundwort.

Another great theme from #wildflowerhour this week, thank you. A special visit to blanket bog in County Antrim this week yielded both Round and Oblong Leaved Sundew, Bog Asphodel and abundant Tormentil. Such a treat to be in their company.

A very special star guest appearance for Wildflower Hour - the killer plant from Little Shop of Horrors masquerading as a just emerging Marsh Marigold. Look at those teeth!!!!!!

Lesser Spearwort, White water FMN, Brooklime and Bog Pimpernel for this week's theme.
Typical of me that my first ever home-grown Marsh Marigold in my tiny pond smiled at me like the plant in Little Shop of Horrors!!!!! #wildflowerhour #wildflowers

A trio of nature's wild titans ready to join Foxgloves in redeeming verges from the mowing frenzy round here. Ragwort, Rosebay Willowherb and Meadowsweet. Thank you, beautiful #wildflowers
