Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face. These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy. While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

Elizabeth Holmes is “almost unrecognizable” in Nathan Fielder’s documentary, “You Can See Everything,” to Theranos whistleblower Tyler Shultz: “The woman that I saw on screen looked, frankly, like a broken woman.” Shultz tells @gayleking and @norahodonnell about his reaction to the film, speaking out about Theranos in 2015 and why the documentary is garnering sympathy for Holmes, who is serving a more than 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors: “She is not playing victim. She is an actual victim.”

Please join me in prayer today for Matthew Shepard, who lost consciousness after being attacked on this day in 1998. We must remember him, all victims of anti-LGBTQ+ violence, and all those who live with fear, hatred, and discrimination. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

28 years ago tomorrow (10/6), Matthew Shepard was beaten and left for dead — tied to a fence in Wyoming. The only part of his face not covered in blood was two white lines running down his cheeks from where his tears ran dry. His death ignited a fight for equality. You don't have to be gay to be a supporter. You just have to be human. #bekind #missionaryofmercy

🚨🚨WOW! This is absolutely amazing to see that Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel have won the Nobel prize in medicine for their optogenetic research! Visual optogenetics is a therapeutic modality that uses Gene Therapy to deliver a light-sensitive protein to cells in the retina. This mechanism of entering light to the eye can then stimulate these cells to produce a visual signal that is sent to the brain and thus “overriding” the retinal cells and to restore vision to vision impaired patients. This mechanism is already in clinical development and the most advanced optogenetic therapy is currently Nanoscope Therapeutics’ MOGENRY (formally known MCO-010) - an Optogenetic Gene Therapy aimed to restore vision in Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) patients with a severe vision loss which is waiting for an FDA approval! Absolutely amazing!
BREAKING NEWS The 2026 #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel “for their discoveries concerning light-gated ion channels and optogenetics.”

Today, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and OpenEvidence announced a partnership to advance precision oncology. This partnership includes integration of OpenEvidence within MSK’s Epic workflow, and bringing OncoKB™, MSK's precision oncology knowledge base, directly into OpenEvidence for its broader use by physicians outside of @MSKCancerCenter. “AI has the potential to fundamentally change how we translate an increasingly complex and rapidly expanding body of knowledge into better decisions for patients,” – Anaeze Offodile, M.D., Chief Strategy Officer at MSK. 🚨🚨🚨 HERE IS THE JIMMY KIMMEL INTERVIEW WITH JAMES TALARICO THAT DONALD TRUMP DOES NOT WANT YOU TO SEE. PLEASE SHARE THIS FAR AND WIDE AS IT IS A MASTERCLASS MUST-WATCH SEGMENT 🚨🚨🚨 Trump didn’t just “move an interview to YouTube.” He tried to censor James Talarico — the Democrat now leading Ken Paxton in Texas Senate polls — off broadcast television. Desperate Don's corrupted FCC didn’t need an official ban. It put ABC licenses under extraordinary early review and warned stations that a late-night interview with a candidate could trigger federal “equal time” punishment. Texas affiliates got the message. So voters in the state that decides this race were not allowed to see the interview on free TV. That is election interference with a regulatory gun to the network’s head. This is pure corruption of the free press and the first amendment. Trump went on that same show twice while he was running. No problem. Talarico starts polling ahead of Paxton in Texas? Suddenly the Depression-era broadcast rule becomes a weapon. They didn’t put a censor in the control room. They used fear. They used licenses. They used the FCC to keep a leading challenger off the public airwaves. The First Amendment exists to protect speech FROM the government — not to protect Ken Paxton from a candidate Texans might actually vote for. Everyone working in cancer care — and every oncologist — should read this piece. @sytses is grounded, rational, informed, and respectful to the current oncology establishment. He underwent standard of care therapies and has deep trust in his oncologist. But — he also creates space for every cancer patient to be irreverent. To keep fighting when standard of care runs out. Because he knows what’s it’s like to be fighting for your life.
My cancer case is n=1. I'm not holding it up as a model, because most of what I did is not specifically replicable or scaleable. But it is a proof of concept that fully personalized medicine, built around one patient's own biology, is viable in ways it simply wasn't a few years ago. I have lived a version of the future of cancer care that I think is worth aspiring to more broadly. Many of the tools that made this future possible for me are getting better, faster, cheaper, and more accessible every year. I think what we need next is the infrastructure to deploy these tools, and the community willing to build this infrastructure, one patient at a time. I want to help that future arrive faster. I wrote an article in The Cancer Letter cancerletter.com/guest-edito… for the physicians and researchers closest to the patients who could benefit most from this approach, who also believe in this future. If you are working towards building the systems and practices that will make personalized medicine operationally real, we want to collaborate with you too.
