Over the moon to see the BRAINS project take off at Strathmore University… supporting masters and PhD students from Morocco, Tunisia, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya and Soutj Africa… Thanks to strathmore, Bernhards &Florence for their leadership 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎😎😎😎@Inst_Infection @ImperialSci
We were joined virtually by Prof. @FaithOsier, the initiator of BRAINS and an award-winning African immunologist, paediatrician and educator.
She provided an overview of the inception of BRAINS and why the program, which is funded by @EUinKenya, is so important for Africa.

On #WorldMalariaDay let us remember that 95% of malaria cases are in sub-Saharan Africa. We must not take our foot off the gas in the fight to prevent and treat #Malaria. We need more investments & innovations to tackle this crisis that disproportionately affects Africa.
