Step Three: dry brush for metal effect. Thanks to @gamesworkshop in Dublin for the tips. First paint ever.
I ported Pete Shirley’s famous Ray Tracing in One Weekend tutorial to Mojo 1.0. One shared core runs on GPU threads or in CPU SIMD packets. On M1 Ultra, GPU hit 62.38x C89 scalar. All feedback welcome. @Modular

it's pretty ridiculous that you can ship an entire video editor in 21 MBs in size.
And a friggin weather app on my phone can take up 400 MBs.
Ported @EricLengyel 's Slug implementation to WebGPU. You can try it out here: slugbook.netlify.app/reader.

How isn't this front page news everywhere? If its fake, it's a huge story. 34+ senior government, political, military and intelligence officials are lying, misdirected or insane... If it's true, holy shit. Check out "Age of Disclosure". Keep an open mind
🚨 David Grusch just dropped a bombshell: he says he’s had first-hand exposure to non-human sentient beings — and their motives aren’t all peaceful.
He also claims President Trump is fully briefed on UAPs and may eventually speak out.
This story isn’t slowing down.

For years, I thought of asset optimisation as a chore: remeshing, decimation, endless retopology. Necessary, but rarely inspiring. With NeRFs and splats, we’re no longer bound by polygons. You can take ray-traced imagery and reconstitute a scene as (fuzzy) points in space #nerf
Poland shoots down 3 drones that entered their airspace. The US had allegedly, multiple weeks of drone incursions over sensitive areas and ... nothing happened. One of these things is not like the other. Why is no one asking why? @rosscoulthart

Morning, and a pretty filthy one in Dublin.
Latest podcast on the nationalisation of the new homes market in Ireland.
In the past few years the Irish State has become by far the biggest buyer of new homes in the country. It is not negotiating discounts with homebuilders, rather it is pushing prices upwards. Why? Because the multinational money spewing into the coffers means it doesn't need to have any notion of cost controls. Who pays? The squeezed first time buyers, many of whom are leaving. In return we are getting the most expensive council houses on earth, and, as the housing list increases the people who will get these homes are those who queue most, not those who save most.

Why does Word still do this in 2025? I just wanted to close the application, after saving the file. It just hangs. This is the last time i use this application for anything serious.
Got my Odin Book from @karl_zylinski. Looking forward to digging in! Beautiful layout, reminiscent of @munificentbob's Crafting Interpreters book. Thanks for writing it! odinbook.com/
Allowing unmanned drones over sensitive military bases for weeks breeds complacency. What is going on? Normalising this practice opens the door for adversaries to exploit vulnerabilities. youtube.com/live/36RZ8FoOnho…
