Ngl strip the Eagles of there picks. They tried to kill this man
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

My QB walked down the Jaguars overseas, with blood clots moving to his lungs, off ZERO sleep (knowing it could be fatal) & staying in the hospital the night before.
I’ll never question your desire for this team again 💔

Jalen is either getting a super extension or he’s leaving the organization. He now has immeasurable leverage.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni will speak to the media at 3:00 PM ET, according to @ryannovoNFL.
If Sirianni isn’t joined by at least one of Eagles GM Howie Roseman or Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, that would be a massive mistake — in my opinion.

I’m firmly in the camp if you have to stay awake for 36 hours before kickoff so you don’t die from a blood clot you should probably skip playing that game.

I’m not a doctor or a medical student, but I don’t think it takes one to say the Eagles deserve all the heat for not taking Hurts’ situation more seriously
Not discovering the blood clot earlier is one thing. Letting him play a game of NFL FOOTBALL with it sleep deprived feels completely insane

We shouldn’t be celebrating Jalen Hurts being in the hospital with a superficial blood clot and being told not to sleep before playing an NFL game.
What are we doing?

Ok this part makes zero sense and now I do question why he played after seeing this part of the report. That much sleep deprivation can have a similar effect to being drunk in terms of awareness and neuromuscular control.
There’s nothing inherently dangerous about sleeping while having a superficial clot. Immobility (venous stasis) can cause clots to get worse, but that’s why you are often advised to just sleep with the leg elevated.
I’ve NEVER heard of someone being told to avoid sleep after a superficial blood clot diagnosis and the short term effect of that sleep deprivation is a terrible thing to play football with.
Jalen Hurts reportedly went roughly 36 hours without sleep after doctors diagnosed him with a superficial blood clot in London and advised him not to sleep as a precaution.
He still started against the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and a TD.

This Jalen Hurts shit is crazy. His career might be over. Not even being dramatic. As someone who dealt with a DVT, he may get put on blood thinners for the rest of his life.

You shouldn’t be allowed to play a high risk contact sport after 36 hours of sleep deprivation.
That’s basically like playing drunk.
Thats the real story here with Jalen Hurts and the medical decisions.

Again, I ask the question: WHY THE FUCK DID THEY LET HIM PLAY?
