As much as this was a role tailor made for Momoa, he clearly just showed up with zero prep and out of shape/bloated (to the point he had to wear a muscle suit, which ironically made him look worse) and felt he could just breeze through the role. A stark contrast in actor prep compared to his role as Aquaman/Duncan Idaho and heck, his flamboyant performance as Dante in Fast X.
