I am so incredibly confident that there is an active smear campaign being pushed against Arkane Lyon and Blade because the reporting on the game and the studio has been all over the place. One week it’s positive news and the next it’s negative. The reporting seems intentionally designed to paint Arkane Lyon as inept and the development of Blade as turbulent, but upon further inspection, there’s simply too many inconsistencies. Someone at Microsoft/Xbox wants the game and the studio dead and buried. To that end, I’ll be working on a video compiling some of the information that has been publicly released as well as information that (while not comprehensive) has been shared with me about Blade’s development. Lastly, I am not asking what I am about to ask in order to undercut the studio management in any way or to endanger the livelihoods of anyone involved, and I respect the developers in Lyon far too much to callously betray their privacy, but I want to friendly and gently encourage any developers working at Arkane Lyon (of which there are many I know that follow my account) to speak with me *ANONYMOUSLY* in order to have their voices heard and their stories shared about Blade’s development. I am not a leaker, a scooper or insider, but I am highly interested in sharing the truth of what’s going on behind the scenes between Arkane Lyon and Xbox. I know to many of you, this may read as extreme tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist talk, some you might even be laughing at me after reading this, and that’s fine; however, I’ve learned many times that it’s often better to listen to your gut instinct, and my gut is telling me in the strongest of ways that something is amiss here.
