3.7% of patients need a blood transfusion after total knee arthroplasty. Risk is reduced by 39% for every gram of tranexamic acid given and risk is < 1% where starting was Hb > 130.

Simple things are sometimes worth recapping - If you notice a significant difference between your primary reduction film, and the reduction post introduction of your cephalic screw - ask yourself what might have happened. especially with left sided hips... #orthotwitter
