Yes thank you! Diagnosed at 39. Primary physician refused to believe I was T-1 and had me go for 3 weeks with 300+ levels with only taking metformin b4 finally seeing Endo (and finally getting insulin).

I too, was originally diagnosed as T2D with all of the symptoms (hindsight is 20/20, right?). I was training to climb Kiliminjaro so was thirsty all of the time; I was sweating at night - attributed to menopause, losing a ton of weight - new medication. A year later, at 57, T1D.

Hormones can totally mess up your blood sugars, often you can pinpoint the exact time in your cycle... Some days my insulin just barely works, and doctor didn't know what to do about it. Started taking the pill on my initiative and it helps – why can't a doctor come up with this?
