Never forget that the main purpose of private schools isn't education but social segregation, and when certain ppl on the right feel like that process is being threatened, even very marginally, they'll start saying unhinged shit like this
Unis letting in pupils with lower grades than private school pupils are using a practice ‘as abhorrent as discrimination on the basis of race or sex’, says @Policy_Exchange head of education.
Can this be squared with #LevellingUp?

Refusing to let teenage girls go to the toilet 'because they should have gone at break'? It's worth bearing in mind their period may not have started conveniently between 10.40 and 11am... and no they shouldn't have to say it...

Pretty sure @misssnuffy and her Conservative friends would scream blue murder if another school invited a prominent left winger to address students. Also: this tweet doesn’t seem very professional.

student mental health crisis is off the charts, have regularly spoken to students in severe distress, having serious mental health episodes, unable to get support from university counselling. But if you’re sad about the death of the queen they’ve got space to see you??

Have you heard the news?? This is massive. Potentially life changing for many of us. Yes, it’s true: the @antiuniversity starts tomorrow!
So don’t get distracted by the spectacle on the news, because the things that matter are the things we make ourselves, with each other ❤️🔥

This week we launch a ballot of over 70,000 @UCU members across every university in the UK.
It’s the same story as elsewhere. Gross profiteering, suppressing workers pay, pension attacks and casualisation.
Our members are ready to fight.
RT if you stand with them.
