What a lovely way to spend a Sunday. Me, two good friends, 3 dogs and our walking boots. 14.3 miles completed in sun, rain and wind. #WalkingWellness @llewelyn20 my views maybe flatter than yours but I still think they are special.

1/2 Listening to @SENDMattersUK today at the Peterborough Heads meeting and I could physically feel myself relax as everything I feel was articulated so perfectly. We are an inclusive school, we have challenges being an inclusive school but actually we are doing a really good

2/2 job and should be proud of the culture we are creating. Is it easy - no, do we need to keep working on it - absolutely, do we need to bring our whole school community along - yes. Everyone should have the opportunity to listen to Gary speak and if you don’t follow him - do.

The launch of the Hever Castle daffodil. @hevercastle My Dad is 80 and has worked with Hever for years on their daffodils. I hope I have as much passion about my “work” when I get older. #daffodils #inspiration If you love daffodils go and visit Hever in the spring.

What a week. Children have come back brilliantly, staff are doing an amazing job. I got weighed down by elements of the role that I may never encounter again in 20 years but that have been very stressful. Thankful for my team and a Friday night walk to find peace again.

Having seen the reviews ( it was the old school friend review that swayed it). I got myself my own copy. Garden reading rather than beach and well guarded by Molly dog if I put it down. Honest, clear, thought provoking and reassuring all rolled into one. @Southgloshead

The messy bits were so relatable, case studies varied. There are things I need to reset, do to bring the community together and things it is ok to not compromise on. Reassuring too that it’s ok not to be in one “camp”. Some absolute gems that have helped me see more clearly.

Some clear actions for me. Some things I need to reset, some things I need to do to bring the community together and some things I am quite right not to compromise on. The messy bits made this so relatable and the reinforcement that you don’t have to be in one “camp” - absolutely

🧵 1/5There seems to be a lot of tension around the announcement of “trades from 14”. One of our local secondary schools has been offering a blend of this for years. Successfully. Despite rising opposition from some. I have two boys. One went through this school and it was a

5/5 As educators we know that different approaches work for different children. Valuing learning in all its forms and stopping trying to fit every child into the same mould may just keep more engagement and ambition not less. #JustAMumOfTheChildWhoDeclaredAged7TheyHatedSchool
