This is definitely on my list of books to read! Now that I'm currently playing through Silent Hill 2, I can't wait to see the influence of the game and be able to appreciate it.
The greatest compliments readers had told me was how VIGIL reminded them of Silent Hill. How experiencing Silent Hill for the first time reminded them of my book. That they could see the strong influences in my story.
VIGIL was written as my love letter to the horror genre. It was also designed to be like a story within a Silent Hill universe, but not bearing the name of the IP.
It is also a very personal story to me not only as an author, but as a person. It tackles heavy themes of depression, self-loathing, addiction, faith in God, and loneliness (to name a few).
To those of you who read the story, my deepest thanks to you. For those of you curious, I invite you to check it out for yourself. See what all the fuss is about.

The apartments in #SilentHill2 definitely didn't disappoint. Going from bright open areas to a more claustrophobic atmosphere with dark areas only lit with the flashlight made for an incredible creepy atmosphere and experience. Still not a fan of the quiet though...

After a little time playing, got to say I am intrigued by this game. The lack of dialog, the dense fog, and overall unsettling feeling you get as you explore the start is definitely putting the game in a unique place for me. Can't say I'm fully in love yet, but probably soon
I can say one thing for sure after playing a little #SilentHill2 last night, I really wish this game had a photomode!
Couldn't pass up a chance to try and get a few shots anyway! Love the eerie visuals so far
