Often times when I meditate in a bad mood, my mood worsens.
So I guess mental exercises just intensify our existing state of mind - neither enhance nor worsen it.
Thought this experience might be helpful.
I'm curious to know what you think.
My following and followers are largely related to writing.
But today, I have a query about speaking.
When I try to speak for a long time, I feel like my breathing interrupts at certain points.
Is speaking slowly the only way to tackle it?
Or have you got something better?
Elon Musk is advocating for free speech on Twitter.
Is it good? Is it bad? Doesn't matter.
Will it create any significant or insignificant change in my Twitter experience? No.
Which means?
I needn't overly concern myself with all this.
Peaceful life 🧘♂️
Are our thoughts strictly "our"?
Or a cumulative and distilled reflection of others?
We are influenced, and barely anything is unique to us.
That isn't bad in any way - but this reflection can deter people from extremism and dogmatism.
Be moderate and flexible.
There was an AD about speed reading.
It said when we read slowly, we lose focus... and the reading becomes less effective.
It makes sense.
But as a slow reader myself, I see its own perks.
This can be a great topic for debates.
And should be intriguing.
Skills never go waste.
During the pandemic, I learned #RStats out of curiosity.
And now, I took this PDF, wrangled its data, and arranged them in the best way for me to study.
Stuff like this gives immense joy 🎉
Active Vs Passive learning:
When I wanted to play better Chess, I used to watch tons of YT videos of grandmasters.
The vicarious success was amazing!
But the progress was zero.
Replace chess with life, and YT videos with self-help books...
You got the point.
I tweeted about my low Vitamin levels and 5 people unfollowed me like I'm dead and this account will remain perennially dormant lol.
Understandable though.
So, for the last few days, I was down due to low Vitamin D and B-12.
Have them tested, people.
You never know!
I'm out of the risk zone ( probably? ) because it has been diagnosed.
Just a matter of time now.
I guess it's time to consume information and reply to tweets.
Because the longer I remain in abeyance, the harder Twitter will be for me.
Creating might be tough when busy, but replying shouldn't be.
Doing the bare minimum to keep the vibe alive.
So the other day, I was lurking on Reddit. I found the r/getdiscipined subreddit.
Going through their FAQs, while perusing a bit, the ABC method caught my attention.
It's a simple to-do list, but better.
Perks?
• Better organization.
• No phone right after waking up.
Try.
I can't believe it's 2022 and people are still complaining about unskippable ads on Youtube.
I mean, haven't you ever heard of things called " uBlock origin"?
The more popular AdBlocker might still track you somehow, but this doesn't. Never.
The best way to quash losing your vocabulary is by using them whenever you can.
Like I used quash here.
Unfollow - seriously inactive users + talking about stuff like NFTs 24*7
Block - too many cliches and platitudes + negative extremist.
I would never share violent and explicit content on my account.
How to take advice?
I'm not a guru, I just share how I do things.
So, if you have better approaches, don't hesitate to share them.
You can remain occupied 24*7. But you needn't.
You'll feel like you're missing out, but you won't.
Paraxodically,
The less, the better.
We are human because we think.
So let's think about enhancing our life.
And it starts with cutting out useless stuff.
Essentialism.
Effect vs Affect - I swear 30% people errs in social media.

Next stop: There vs Their vs They're.
I almost forgot that I have words like Self-growth and life in my bio.
It has all been about 'Writing' lately.
Gotta cover them at least every fortnightly. Somehow.
A simple process to write better:
1. Read a piece.
2a. Did you like it?
• Find what hooked you
• Find what kept you going
• Copy
2b. Did you hate it?
• Find what threw you off
[ Is it dense 1st paragraph? Is it too many highlighted texts? ]
• Avoid
3. Actually write.
