James saying good bye to mom this morning, as she faces trial and up to 7 years in prison for rescuing a lamb from the King of England. James seemed anxious. We all were. But Rose is standing up for what was right in a system where the most defenseless creatures, like the little lamb she rescued, are subjected to ruthless abuse by the most powerful people in the world. In this case, that literally means the King of England, King Charles. I'll provide updates throughout her trial. Stay tuned for more.

Uh, one of the most powerful attorneys in the US government just adopted 2 of the Ridglan beagles. This is wild and awesome.
I HATE birthdays but this year is special because I adopted TWO BEAGLES through my girlfriend Lauree Simmons and Big Dog Ranch Rescue and they are now living the good life!

HORRIBLE: These pigs can literally only talk a step forward and backward in a tiny metal cage. That is their life. This is #pork. 😡

The inimitable @rickygervais supports the right to rescue. When will Dane County authorities see the writing is on the wall and save the Ridglan dogs? Every single one of those tortured pups needs to get out. Now.

“I’m woofing as a rescued laboratory dog, and celebrating with my hero, @rickygervais! We’ve just watched lawyer @waynehhsiung, and read his careful reasoning on the legal right to rescue us #dogs, from cruel animal testing breeders, Ridglan Farms: 🐾❤️ blog.simpleheart.org/p/why-w…   Wayne’s legal woofs are supported by science: only last week, the head of the FDA, @DrMakaryFDA, underlined the 90% failure rate of animal-tested drugs, saying “90% of drugs that pass on animal testing do not pass in human testing, when it comes to safety and efficacy.”  You can watch @DrMakaryFDA’s statement, here: xitter.cf/betsyambassador/status… “Safety and efficacy” is what dog experiments are for, so the cruelty at Ridglan Farms is also failing humans too. In case you’re wondering about the remaining 10%, this correlation is sheer random chance, not predictive, scientific method. My hero @rickygervais is helping me support 82 cross-party Members of the @UKParliament, who are calling for the #EDM187 science hearing, to judge and stop false claims about human medicine, used by animal-testing breeders and animal experimenters, to fund their cruelty towards us dogs, and other animals. You can read more about the MPs’ science hearing, here: forlifeonearth.eaction.onlin… And please watch my hero @rickygervais in conversation with leading medical doctor Ray Greek: orangeplanetpictures.com/bla… Dr Greek’s science team stopped a huge primate laboratory being built, at @Cambridge_Uni, with a ruling against that lab, on ‘national interest, medical and scientific’ grounds.” @krishgm @Martina @DreyfusJames @DeborahMeaden @ALAWAnimalLaw @Animallawyersuk @AnimalAid @stoolpresidente @GaryLineker @KensingtonRoyal @Number10cat @Keir_Starmer @johnmcdonnellMP @TanDhesi @ToniaAntoniazzi @StormHuntley @Channel4News @JeremyVineOn5 @BBCRosAtkins @netflix @England @NevilleSouthall @WhiteCoatWaste @AllDogsMatter @Oprah @OWNTV @washingtonpost @WhiteHouse @JohnCleese @robbiewilliams @TeamMessi  #DogsAreFamily #RightToRescue #FDA #EvidenceBased #Science #Medicine #Animals
I was arrested last week for rescuing 22 dogs from animal experimentation facility Ridglan Farms. I just called them to tell them we’re coming back to rescue them all despite their legal threats. Here’s why. #SaveTheDogs #RightToRescue

Just found this wild detail in the special prosecutor's report on the beagle cruelty case at Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin. The prosecutor found clear evidence of criminal cruelty — including employees cutting out parts of dogs' eyes without pain relief or veterinary care (he euphemistically called this the 'cherry-eye procedure'). But he declined to prosecute, in part after speaking with local factory farmers who told him they had 'different views' about animal mistreatment. After speaking with them, he concluded that 'the reality is that the Ridglan Farms business model was not unusual.' Of course, 'different views' and industry norms are not legal defenses to animal cruelty. So he called them 'equity considerations.' In other words, it would be unfair to prosecute these animal abusers because their neighbors also abuse animals.

The DA in the Ridglan case is saying he has not received a "referral" to investigate Ridglan's criminal abuse. This is a lie. This is a letter sent to the DA by state inspectors outlining surgical mutilations performed on dogs—without vets or even anesthesia. See the last line.

You probably don't know the name Grimmius Cattle Company, but they do the dirty work for all of California's top dairy producers.
EXPOSED: Dairy farms across California are sending calves to massive calf raising operations in the Central Valley where they are housed in tiny crates for months on end. When they fall ill, they're left to die or brutally shot in the head. This is Grimmius Cattle Company. This is the real California dairy industry. Ask legislators to act now at FactoryFarmWatch.org

As the rain pours in the Central Valley of California, consider the National Dairy FARM Standards, which they say 98% of facilities adhere to. The standards state: "All age classes of animals have a resting area that is clean, dry, provides adequate cushion at all times, and does not pose risk of injury." "Adequate bedding keeps cows clean and offers cushion, traction, and helps mediate temperature (i.e., thermal insulation with straw for calves in winter, or sand bedding to keep animals cool in summer). Cattle spend less time lying down in wet bedding or mud and will avoid wet surfaces if given a choice. Dryness is also important for udder health, as well as for bedding to provide insulating properties." "Animal hygiene is an indicator of animal health and welfare. Lactating cows with reduced hygiene are at an increased risk of mastitis and reduced udder health. Providing a clean, dry space for cattle to lie down is important for keeping them healthy and comfortable while they rest. Lying down is an important resting behavior for cattle in terms of maximizing health and production and reducing incidence of lameness." 90% of cows are supposed to score a 2 or less on the hygiene score card, meaning that the cows do not have an area exceeding 11" of mud or manure on their flank or hind legs. In my experience, many dairies in the Central Valley do not actually adhere to these standards. Footage shot by me last week in Tulare County. #vetmed #vettwitter #animalwelfare
