The inclusion of Indigenous artwork and paying the artist is great but surely we're at a systemic level of change/impact these days?
Hand over my heart would have chosen cricket over netball if there were more pathways for girls when I was younger

Some of #netball's biggest names now work in #cricket. @LindaCPearce investigates why. 🧐

This shit has gotta stop. One thing is for certain though, this isn’t guna stop us speaking up or stepping up. Sent to my work email, no less.
Happy NAIDOC week to everyone except organisations and businesses who ask and expect First Nations people to organise, promote and educate for free, and on top of their usual work loads x
My partner is a professional cricketer and hated netball. Since explaining the rules and tactical set ups, they're obsessed. While seeing the entertainment value, she can understand why OG fans hate the 2 point shot and so *plot twist* she hates it now too #webothhate2020s
I'm so glad we finally have an (identified) Aboriginal woman in the diamonds. This however, does mean our pathways are magically fixed. If anything, I think Donnells journey to an SSN contract outlines just how far we have to go in supporting our First Nation's athletes
I never wanna turn stuff into a "race thing" but it's always hard seeing things get national, if not global attention when similar things happen to our mob and barely anything is done
