If you're a small streamer, this is true Imagine This: Your viewer gets a notification that you went live, Clicks it, Then is disappointed to get hit with a 5 min (or longer) Starting Soon screen They'll leave. Large streamers can do long 'Starting Soon' scenes because their audience will actually sit through it (they've built a strong community over years) When you’re smaller, you don’t have that pull yet..
