Haven’t been able to use this in a min…
Jimmy Butler felt he let Steph Curry down when he tore his ACL.
He’s on a mission to return in time to resurrect a final chapter: “Y’all motherf---ers going to be real shocked if y'all think I'm going to come back as some bum ass player."

The most Chicago experience I’ve ever had was going there with a coach of a local team sitting in a booth while an endless stream of people came by and somehow never getting a bill. Awesome place.
Take a trip to any random place in Europe. Count the amount of NBA jerseys or hats you see. I’ll give you the breakdown.. it’ll be 60-70 pct Bulls stuff from the 90’s “ah America.. CHEE-CAGO BULLS…” that was 30 years ago and it’s remained so not because they ducked the tax

Are the thunder good a smart organization? Are the Celtics a good organization? Both teams ducked the apron by trading away players lol
No other team in the NBA won the Championship last year

No other team in the league is going into the apron - that should tell you something
3-5 years from now. Staying out of the aprons is a choice not an absolute. It took 52 years for this team to get back to a Championship window and they are here now. Stay in it. Stop giving these owners who pushed for this system passes and putting the burden on the players.

Not about money. No Knick fan is concerned with Dolan’s wallet or him spending a fraction of his vast wealth.
The is issue is the restrictive, punitive penalties associated with exceeding the second apron - and the impact that has on the franchise’s ability to maintain a championship-level roster
Also be a get out of jail free card for a great many of these contracts to marquee players you will want to debate value on at that age that are only making that because they couldn’t ask for 100 million a year at age 30 like they should be able to.
One could argue the worst-case scenario isn’t losing KAT, but rather guaranteeing a 35-year-old center more than $65 million for the 2030-31 season.
Albatross contracts that can sink a team, especially considering NY has to pony up max money for Brunson 9 months from now.
Stop counting other people’s money. Especially these owners. He’s earned the extension and then some. If he can’t be paid what his market is then who can? Also… there is an expansion and expansion draft coming that will not only hand these owners 500 mil for existing BUT

2 days ago for whatever reason DT popped into my head while I was driving and I couldn’t believe it’s been almost 5 years he’s been gone. What’s funny abt this is I would bet a fair amount he never ate one of these donuts himself.
Reminds me of when we let a UFC fighter cut an in game promo that went long and gave my name sake a concussion in the process… during the finals….
To me there is nothing cautionary abt the story. I’ve watched it over 1000 times in my life and to me, both Arthur and Will are incredible successes. The thought that only if you make it and earn X number of dollars is the thing that makes you a success isn’t reality.
By far the most noticeable thing and not only can he play but he’s … a large human being… (I hate that we can’t say “he’s huge” or eat hot dogs in public anymore without seemingly really old world)
Had the opportunity to work with Mike for a few years and was struck by how introspective he was abt his battles with his weight and body image and the toll hearing all the noise took on him. Massive life lesson from an extremely caring and contemplative human being.
Part of what the Clippers are standing on, rightly or wrongly its above my head, is the theme of common business practices, ie none of this can be organized, yet I walked by the entire team in front of my building in Miami yesterday in practice gear with coaches and trainers.
