𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐄𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 After more than 100 years as the Intercounty Baseball League, the league is officially transitioning to a fully professional model under a new name: the Canadian Baseball League (CBL.ca). Fan support has never been stronger, with more than 249,000 fans attending games in 2025. In Hamilton, this transition reflects what our supporters already know, the level of play is at its peak. Last season, 64 players with MLB or Minor League experience competed in the league, including former MLB All-Star and World Series champion Fernando Rodney, who took the mound for the Cardinals. Starting in 2026, the regular season expands from 42 to 48 games, only five teams will qualify for playoffs, and games will now be available not only on YouTube and Cable 14 but also through the new free CBL TV app on Roku, FireTV, and Apple TV. “This is the best baseball league in Canada,” said Cardinals owner Eric Spearin. “This move formalizes what our fans already know and sets the stage for growth and impact moving forward.” 🎟️ 2026 Season Tickets now available at ShopCardinals.ca Be part of the CBL inaugural professional season. #HamiltonCardinals #CBL #NewEra #ProfessionalBaseball #CardinalsBaseball #2026Season #SeasonTickets
