The view from the piano at the Alles ist Circus! workshop in Switzerland. 🎹🇨🇭🎭
The essentials are all here.
A few months ago, I posted a photo of the @tsamusical script because apparently this is what one does when a musical is workshopped.
I now discover that it is an ongoing obligation.
So, here is Alles ist Circus!, being workshopped in Switzerland this week.
I blame precedent.
A moment from last night’s performance. The piano sang, I sang, and the tie made a colourful contribution. 🎹
The trailer is here! 🎪✨ Proud to be co-writing Alles ist Circus, a new musical inspired by the extraordinary story of Circus Knie. Amazing cast, world-class creative team, spectacular artistry - & a story about dreams, family & the courage to change. Switzerland from Aug 2027.
It is, I believe, compulsory to post a script photo on the 1st day of working on a theatre project.
I don't make the rules.
Development days for @tsamusical start today. Written with Richard Hough, dir. by @Jamesontweets, prod. by @JamesSeabright, ahead of @HOME_mcr from November
While I was in New York for the @DramaDeskAwards (still slightly unreal), I popped back to SoHo Playhouse to chat about @LikeAMusical - nominated for Outstanding Revue. If you fancy a watch: youtu.be/DKA9mDWUeaM?si=1iig…
Really grateful to share that @LikeAMusical has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award. It’s lovely recognition for a show that means a great deal to me; I’m thankful to all who helped bring it to life in NY. Whatever happens next, I’m proud of what this company created together.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
One week since our final bow at the @sohoplayhouse. 🎭
Thank you to our brilliant cast, creative team, and audiences for making our off-Broadway run such a joy - from awful auditions to standing ovations.
Because sometimes… life really is like a musical.

High kicks. Dressing room drama. Final bows. 🎭
Only 3 performances left at @sohoplayhouse - one today, two tomorrow.
The glitter, the graft and the glorious chaos are nearly at their last note.
