Controlled Burns at Bend in the River
Controlled burns will be taking place at Bend in the River park today (10/20/2026) and tomorrow (10/21/2026). They will take place on both sides of County Road 55, prairies and wooded areas.
These burns are being performed in efforts to reduce the chances of any unwanted fires and to help new growth in the prairies and woods. Please allow plenty of space to our professional contractors to work. Please contact Jeff Dingmann with any questions or concerns.

BEND IN THE RIVER PARK
We will be conducting the prescribed burn in the pine forest area at Bend in the River Park, if the weather conditions are appropriate. As of now it looks like it will happen between 09/08 and 09/11.
