Exciting news!!!
We've won a grant that will enable us to appoint a #PeopleandNature #Volunteer Coordinator to work across our four parishes. So we'll be recruiting! Big thanks to @OxfordshireCF for supporting us. #ThrivinginNature 💚1/2 – at South East, England
The job is part-time & self employed (c 1 day/week), and involves supporting people to get #outdoors, enjoy #nature, learn new #skills and help look after our #greenspaces.
If you think you might fit the bill, check out our announcement bensonnaturegroup.com/new-vo… 2/2. Pls RT. – at South East, England
One of our fave #trees in our patch. All the more valuable as it sits in one of our most used public #greenspaces - it’s on the @ThamesPathNT and gives the people of #Benson direct access to the river.
Favourite willow on the #ThamesPath at Benson in the evening sunlight recently. Pollarding willows makes the trunks grow thicker, perfect for #thicktrunktuesday 😊
@TiCLme @BensonNature
What a turnout for our #bat walk this evening! TY Anna Dudley, @12beesbuzzing @ValSiddiqui @EdelMcGurk and lots of others for making it a success. We heard Noctule, Soprano & Common Pipistrelles, and we learned lots from Anna. 💚 Next time it’s #Hedgehogs
Another exciting event in our programme. Come join our #bat walk in #Benson on Sat 24th Aug. The river, chalkstream and churchyard are calling points. #localnature #naturerecovery Pls RT!
Green #volunteers event in #Benson tmrw - 2:30, Sunday 14th July at Bertie West Field. Much loved local #greenspace in need of some TLC. Tools provided (and free exercise!). #peopleandnature #community
Sadly we’ve had to postpone this due to presenter illness.
Heads up, folks! Our next BANG event is focused on #Owls. Such a popular exhibit at #WildaboutBenson in the spring, the @project_british team will be back on Tues, 9 July to talk about how we can all help. Hosting this one in #Warborough. (7:30, St Lawrence’s).

👏🏻 We’ve benefited from @TOE_oxon support in the past. Fab way of kick starting local #greenspace projects if you’re in Oxon. #nature

Spending time in nature is great for your physical and mental health 💚
But with people leading such busy lives, it’s not something we all take time to do. Today, for #30DaysWild, have a go at forest bathing and immerse yourself in nature by following our guide below. 🌳
