Lord, have mercy. I'm not a "public school is sin" Christian but at this point, depending on school district, you'd have to have a pretty solid justification to keep sending them. I pray for parents who have to make tough choices. We have too, 7x over.
America: the coffee has been brewed and the bacon is baconing. Wake up.
Your kids need you.

We had dinner with our very lovely elderly neighbor. She was eager to give the kids candy corn and proceeded to share with them, with the best of intentions, a very unorthodox analogy of the Trinity that I will correct later today. It was rough & I think they already know.
This is a good word for fathers. It's also a massive blessing to your wife. Kids will learn that your words (and hers) are not empty. I mean what I said.
I stole this discipline trick from the military.

We need a renewed vision of marriage, family and children. YAs need an inspiring view of building a family legacy of faith, love & service w/a shared mission together as a family. That vision was critical in my own thoughts of who to marry (and God gave me better than I deserved)
Every once in a while I "rediscover" a food I hadn't eaten a lot of before. Usually a vegetable, like cilantro and green onions a couple years ago. This time it's collard greens and man... with ham and hot sauce, is there any green leafy thing better. I could eat pounds of this.
The Miami Hurricanes are ranked #1 for the first time in nearly 25 years. My 9yo stayed up with me until 11:30 to watch the double OT classic. I love sports and the bond you can have over them. He's all in on the Canes and college football and I feel like a kid again w/him.
