Random positives I need to share about the Zelda OoT remake after completing it; - Gorgeous. Like, WOW. Best looking game Nintendo has ever made. - NPC schedules. Do not underestimate just how much life and new interractions this breathes into the game, this world feels lived in more than ever. - Economy. Money simply wasn't an issue in the og, but now it has true purpose. Item drops give you less, and things cost more. Great fairy upgrades arent cheap! Adds a good extra layer to the gameplay imo. - Cutscene quality. This game is legit a movie at times, and the Japanese voices are all so good (I havent really heard the English, sorry) - Improved Controls. I see some say this game is easier. Given enemies have refreshed attack/defense patterns I can't quite decide if that is true, but simply having a modern dual stick control system makes you feel way more in command than before. - Character Designs. Outside of Young Zelda/Link which I feel are just fine, everyone else looks AMAZING. Like, WOW, these designs are so good man. - Mask of Truth. Perhaps my favorite new addition is the fact you can wear the masks as an adult now, and the mask of truth has SO MUCH fun dialog to give us. Every npc has legit col things they are thinking of, and gives you a fun excuse to talk to everyone again. - Music. Outside of like maybe 2 areas (Looking at you, adult fire temple) the music tracks are all improved and buffed up! A classic ost given proper orchestrated versions. Just sublime. - Dedication to the secrets of the original. That hidden fairy fountain in ganons tower? Still here. The goofy png shark in the lab? They gave our boy life now! The list goes on and on, they understood the assignment. - The ending. Yeah, a literal movie.
