Scoop: Former Rep. Tony Gonzales sent $54,350 from campaign funds to companies recently created by his wife that don’t appear to have any physical or online presence. expressnews.com/politics/art…
One can hardly be expected to win them all
In 1807, Napoleon went on a rabbit hunt.
His chief of staff rounded up a couple thousand tame rabbits and kept them near the hunting area. When the cage doors opened to release the rabbits, it went wrong. You see, these were TAME rabbits, and they assumed le Empereur & his guests were arriving with food. So they swarmed the "hunters".
A gigantic force of adorable fluffy bunnies jumped on Napoleon, chewed up his coat, and overwhelmed him and his armed allies, until they got into their carriages and fled away.
He won almost 63 out of his 70 battles. This was his lamest defeat.
Auden is a real 'G.' One of a handful of people that documented the border crisis at a time when we were still being told there was no crisis. He's written a book telling his own story. Worth a look, just for the fact that here's a regular dude that just did a thing, well.
For seven years, I told you what was happening at the border. Now I'm telling you what it cost me.
As a U.S. citizen, I moved my family to Ciudad Acuña while we waited almost eight years to bring my wife home the legal way. We paid the fees, waited in line and were sent to the fraud department twice. My son was born in Del Rio. My daughter was born in Acuña.
From my side of the river, I watched thousands cross and get a free pass into the country.
That's how my independent journalism started: the Del Rio camp in 2021, Eagle Pass in 2023, the caravans out of Tapachula, and the stories that took me to Fox News, War Room and millions of views.
I put it all together in a digital magazine, THE OTHER SIDE. 13 pages, with photos I've never shared before.

Thank you to everyone who has followed, shared and supported this work from day one. You are part of this story. 🙏🏼
Dude is out here with the biggest hat in town. Living his best life. Moisturized and thriving, etc. I think the vitality has something to do with gentle envy. Here's a guy that has clearly identified his talent and is going for it. No visible compromises to his art.
Did some yodeling out in Wenatchee, WA today!

TAKE! MY! MONEY!
The best idea for a war movie that has not yet been made is the fate of the 30,000 Christian samurai who fled Japan when their religion was outlawed in the early 1600s.
The Spanish embarked them on ships and took them away to the Philippines, where they fought alongside the Spanish against the Moros. After the Moros were subdued (for that time), the samurai settled down with Christian Filipinas and vanished.
Imagine the film - legitimate samurai alongside real conquistators fighting Moro headhunters. Wow!
People concerned about lack of water in the Western Edwards plateau frequently overlook the ongoing development happening West of San Antonio.
Houses and other new construction, popping up like mushrooms. 50 million expected by 2050?
We'll be drinking the Gulf.
Made in the USA, the last such option in flatware. Not available at Walmart, naturally.
In 2005, Oneida shut the flatware factory in Sherrill, New York.
A town that had made silverware for MORE THAN 100 YEARS was supposed to be finished.
Two men refused to let that happen.
Their names are Matt Roberts and Greg Owens.
Roberts had managed that factory. Owens was another former Oneida manufacturing manager. When the company ended U.S. production, they bought the plant and the equipment and reopened it the NEXT DAY as Sherrill Manufacturing.
They did not have a giant rescue fund.
They did not have a Hollywood ending waiting.
They had a building, some machines, and a workforce that knew how to make forks, knives, and spoons.
At first they kept making product for Oneida.
Then Oneida pulled the remaining American work and sent it overseas.
That should have been the end.
It wasn’t.
They took government flatware contracts to keep the lights on. In 2010 they filed Chapter 11. They sold unused equipment. They sold space they could no longer fill. They leased back only the part of the factory they could still run.
They came out of bankruptcy in 2013.
Then they did the thing that saved the company.
They built their own brand: Liberty Tabletop.
They sold 18/10 stainless flatware straight to customers who wanted tableware MADE IN THE UNITED STATES.
Not through a department store that could drop them overnight.
Direct.
Today Liberty Tabletop is the only company still manufacturing stainless steel flatware in America.
Same town.
Same trade.
U.S. steel.
About 70 jobs.
They did not bring back 2,000 workers. Nobody did.
What they saved was the last line.
If you want American-made forks and spoons, this is the factory that still makes them.
Support Liberty Tabletop.
THIS is what keeping manufacturing in America actually looks like. 🇺🇸
Austin is a perfectly safe and vibrant city with a healthy and beautiful civic culture. The DA's office is doing it's part! Respect!
AUSTIN MAN masturbates at a gas station register while ringing up a woman's groceries, and prosecutors give him community service.
Within weeks of that deal he was doing it again at a burger joint -- in the kitchen and in the dining room a few feet from a family with young kids...
Sept. 2025: Javon Gildart is working the counter at a Pflugerville QuikTrip. A woman stops in after her shift. Cameras catch him exposed and stroking himself as she walks in. He pauses to check out another customer, then continues to do his thing. When she sets her items down, he has the continence to stop again just long enough to ring her up, with his penis out, while she waves at the manager and points at him..
Charged with indecent exposure. Arrested a month later, out on $3,000 bond the next day. Then four straight court settings canceled and reset over nine months. Prosecutors handed him probation and 30 hours of community service. No jail, no registry, not even a guilty plea.
A few weeks ago, he's working at Buddy's Burger on Cameron Road. Surveillance catches him in the dining area masturbating, while a family with small children sits nearby. More footage shows him doing it in the kitchen, and again while working next to a female employee.
He was fired from Buddy's but it's still unclear whether prosecutors will bother pursuing charges.
Pretty cool
This is so ridiculous, one is tempted to assume it's a fabrication. Whole swaths of Gen X were apparently abused as children. Who knew? Ask the next 50 year old you meet about their history of abuse and neglect.
🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a Virginia mother of FIVE has been CONVICTED of a crime, sentenced to 6 months in jail, and placed on the CHILD ABUSE REGISTRY for 7 years...
...because she let her 5-year-old son walk half a mile to the pond in their GATED community to collect goose feathers.
Yes, you read that right...
Her name is Karyann Parkinson and she is probably the furthest thing from an "unfit mother" you will ever meet.
She has a degree in family science. She was a family life educator. She spent three years as a live-in behavioral specialist caring for 35 troubled girls. Her husband is a family therapist.
They moved to Virginia so she could go to William & Mary LAW SCHOOL.
This past June, eight months pregnant and studying for the bar, she took her boy Sam on their usual bike ride to the pond.
When they got home, he asked to walk back for more feathers.
Just a half-mile walk home on a sidewalk with ten feet of grass between him and the road.
Two crosswalks he'd used hundreds of times, inside a gated neighborhood with 24-hour security and a 25 mph speed limit.
She said yes, and she made lunch.
A stranger saw a kid walking and called security.
The guard marched Sam home and told this 5-year-old that his mommy did something wrong
His mother says it "scared the crap out of him."
Then the guard called the cops. Then the cop called backup.
Within minutes: THREE police cars. Three officers. A security vehicle. Two CPS workers. All at one mother's front door.
For a kid walking home on a sidewalk
CPS told her husband, "a 5-year-old child can never be unsupervised."
Never. Not for one minute. Not in a gated community. Not on a sidewalk.
That is the government's position on YOUR children.
They put her on the child abuse and neglect registry.
Seven years.
They charged her with "contributing to the delinquency of a minor."
A charge meant for parents who let their kids do drugs and skip school.
Last week, a judge convicted her and she got six months in jail, suspended and a permanent criminal record.
She can likely never volunteer at her kids' school again.
She may never be allowed to practice law.
What are we doing here????
Kids used to walk to school ALL THE TIME.
I used to ride bikes with my friends until till the streetlights came on... no one ever knew where I was and it didn't matter because this WAS AMERICA.
Now a five-year-old can't walk to a pond without three squad cars and a criminal conviction for his mother???
We've criminalized childhood...
The H1B rock is covering up all kinds of verminous misdeeds. I don't know if people have the stomach for truth sometimes.
Look! Yet ANOTHER one of these on an H1B visa: Biomedical research data allegedly transferred in UT MD Anderson trade-secret investigation and looks like the Chinese suspects were trying to flee from the investigation:

With the back to back losses of Tim Curry and Dolly Parton, has anyone checked on Willie Nelson? The evil eye is clearly roaming this week.

In 1874, two little girls were prisoners in a Cheyenne camp. A US Army lieutenant knew he was outnumbered, but had the audacity to charge in to save their lives.
His name was Frank Baldwin, and he already had one Medal of Honor.
He'd earned the first ten years earlier, at Peachtree Creek during Sherman's Atlanta campaign. Under heavy fire, Baldwin ran ahead of his own men, broke into the Confederate line by himself, and came back out with two captured officers and an enemy battle flag.
That alone put him in rare company. But the second one made him a legend.
In 1874, on the Texas plains, a Cheyenne band had carried off four young sisters after murdering their parents and older siblings. Baldwin was leading two companies when he located the camp holding two of them, ages 7 and 5. He was outnumbered and the enemy held strong ground. Every rule said wait for reinforcements.
But Baldwin knew what waiting meant. If the camp scattered, the girls would be killed before help arrived.
So he attacked. The charge hit with such unexpected fury, the village broke and ran, abandoning everything. When his men swept through, they found the two sisters half-starved, hidden under a pile of buffalo hides. Still alive.
Frank Baldwin became the second man in American history to wear two Medals of Honor, and the first to earn them in two different wars.
American audacity.
Austin really has a homeless junkie bum problem. And it starts in City Hall, and ends with the NGO's. Think of them as ticks, latched onto the taxpayer's carotid.
