1000% this. It wasn’t about winning the election—it was about winning the election a certain way that meant that they didn’t need to rely on antiwar constituencies when the sole goal of their project was overseas interventionism.
Another problem is that the DNC is allergic to charisma. Howard Dean, Bernie, AOC, Tim Walz…fire up the voters and you’re immediately sanded down, marginalized or both.
Notable exceptions include Bill Clinton and Barack Obama who I believe were both TWO-TERM PRESIDENTS
In the wake of sickening national developments, here in LA we can at least feel good about getting rid of Kevin de Leon once and for all. A true and unmitigated piece of shit.

ALT Biden ditched his progressive domestic agenda, embraced austerity in March 2022. This graph has lot of blue and red balls on it. The blue ones represent the daily Build Back Better mentions on Twitter, the red ones represent the national debt/deficit daily mention on Twitter from the @joebiden, @potus, and @whitehouse accounts. There is an abrupt end to the Build Back Better mentions just after the 2022 marker, and a surge in national debt/deficit mentions beginning around the same time.

Nonsense. This was a winnable election Harris was doing alright in until the consultants decided it would be best to ape the rhetoric and approach of the unpopular incumbent she replaced.
