Do you have a retail online store for the products you produce on your farm? If so, reply with a link, a quick description, and then retweet this. There are many great family owned retail operations, and #AgTwitter is a great place to showcase them. I'll pin this thread.

PRF has some new rules. Stocking rates, coverage limitations, and new NCEI data. Couple suggestions: make sure you get a new historical indemnity analysis and make sure its using NCEI data not the former CPC. Ive been running them and finding im changing some intervals. Talk to a meteorologist or get an agent with one. The current el nino trend changes some bias. We use one amd think you should too. Be aware of the Stocking Rate rules. Ask questions. Its murky territory and Ive done a pile of research and asked a bunch of questions.

Couple of stellar folks. Looks great.
Our client, Tyler (@KuglerFarms), put up a bin and asked if we wanted a sign on it. Then, he took this gorgeous pic for us. Find the sign, tag us with a photo, and we'll send you a roll of our famous Quartzite tape. This post isn't indicative of future performance or success.

I have no idea what the S&D is for millet, but if I was an end user, I'd get covered.

Starting a new Friday tradition to see how good the masses are on calling the weekend war charades and Mondays open. Since most of my followers are corn people, we are going use CZ6. Not posting a results button. Choose one and play. By close today I will be:

Did you know it took the oil from nearly 150 million bushels of #soybeans to meet U.S. biofuel demand in July? July was the third straight all-time record, with soybean oil use reaching 1.687 billion pounds, up 52% YoY. The last two months have brought major headwinds, though, as imported UCO, tallow and other feedstocks have weighed on the cash market. More on what that means as U.S. crush ramps up in this week’s Weekender: 🔗🔽

Had a lot of questions from clients and followers about this. Have a quality loss concern, read these first. Feel free to reply with a question and I'll see if I can get an answer. One for soybeans, one for corn: rma.usda.gov/sites/default/f… rma.usda.gov/sites/default/f…
Generally speaking, kernel damage from mold, sprouting and/or discoloration due to excessive rain is a covered peril. Kernel damage discounts are in the Special Provisions of the AIB: Soybeans 8.01%-35% Corn 10.01%-35% Samples can be taken from a bin to determine this damage. If you think you have damage, take a sample to your elevator for testing, and if confirmed, turn in a loss. All harvest claims must be turned in within 15 days of harvest to be considered timely.

Had the opportunity to meet Ron and his wife at a forages presentation few weeks back. He and the Narjes family are on the forefront of rethinking traditional methodology in the west. Solid follow and full of knowledge.
