Watched G-W w my 4yr old. He loved @Mads__Pedersen. Today in P-R Femmes he saw @LidlTrek. “Dad is that Mads Pedersen?” “No, buddy. These are the women.” “Is Mads’s mommy racing?” “No but that’s his team.” Spent the rest of the race cheering for Madison Peters. Little minds 🤣

Stage 19 commentary: Tadej could’ve gained time in the overall w/out catching the break. Didn’t need the stage win. IMO Tadej rode the final climb as a champion should. “Steeling” victory from the break was decided as much by the UAE team car when they held the break under 4 min

Reiterating this after the fact. @JumboVismaRoad had an opportunity to roll in top 3 on the stage & GC. What an amazing display of solidarity, character, & class that could have been. Instead they left their “leader” behind inside 2km to go! Imagine they lost a lot of fans today

Acknowledging my own bias I don’t entirely agree with this POV. Especially on today’s stage. If they ride a boring race around Sepp they defend the entire podium. Jonas and Roglic follow and neutralize. That’s not a “gift” it’s teamwork. Of course, it can all change on the road.

Surprised the breakaway isn’t larger today. With so many teams stage hunting at the #TdF2023, why not gamble that UAE will knock off the chase. If they do, who controls? On paper today & stage 10 are the best breakaway opportunities in the first 2 weeks. My unsolicited opinion!

That said, Cavagna, Powless, and EBH are 3 of the strongest breakaway riders in the race. They won’t come back easy!

Impeccable timing 😅. I’m sure @DerekGee7 is seeing a lot of cuckoo’s at this point in the race.
Guess who came by the bus to say hi this morning… Everybody’s favorite Canadian cycling fan 🇨🇦 🙌 Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement, Sean! What a legend 👏 ___ 🇮🇹 #Giro

I’d like to call attention to the fact that THE most exciting rider of this year’s @giroditalia, @DerekGee7, is also a birder. CC: @gcntweet @eurosport @Cyclingnewsfeed #GirodItalia #giro2023

I’m only sorry that being in the break he’s had to listen to @sam_bewley in his ear all day every day 🤣

This aged well! Wow. 2 Americans in the top 10 at #RVV23. When is the last time that happened!?
In my opinion, there’s never been a more exciting time to follow American cycling! Switched on #dwarsdoorvlaanderen with 50 km to go to see Powless on the attack! USA currently has the depth to play the finishes in classics, GC in week long races, and grand tour stages.

Anyone who’s followed cycling over the years heart sank for @estebanchavesfc at #VoltaCatalunya102 today! And what performances by @giuliocicco1 and @JooAlmeida98. Aaand, love how the head games between July’s big players have already started. #stillafan

Good luck, dudes!
🇵🇹 Stage 7 of the #VoltaaPortugal is a repeat of @BenKing89’s memorable victory in Fafe last year. Once again, the rolling nature of the parcours is favourable to breakaway opportunists. Live on rtp.pt 📺 #HumanPoweredHealth

CC: @deghendtthomas. Would you agree that the KOM as an intermediate competition should favor a breakaway rider rather than a GC contender? Suggestion to organizers: designate more points mid stage. Heartbroken for @Simongeschke who IMO earned that jersey.
Replying to @DeGendtThomas
That’s basically the GC then, right?
