This is a brilliant idea! Can’t wait to watch it
Prime Video has announced a one-off: Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson’s Farm Special. Plan is to grow flax on Diddly Squat, turn it into a flax-composite body, and fit a Jaguar F-Type V6S base with farm leather and wool carpets. Designer Ian Callum is involved. World-first attempt, or at least a very Clarkson attempt!

At some point, baseball has to get back to valuing ballplayers and not just numbers on a screen. Give me the Freddie Freemans, the Buster Poseys, Hunter Pences, Pablo Sandovals, Michael Youngs, Ian Kinslers of the world. Guys who just flat out know how to play the game. Everyone wants to talk launch angle and exit velo, but what happened to valuing a quality at bat?” The 9-pitch battle that might end in an out, but forces a pitcher to show everything he’s got. The guy who hits behind the runner, takes what’s given, or just refuses to give a pitcher an easy inning. Those at-bats might not look sexy in the box score, but they show up in the 7th, 8th, and 9th. Some of these dudes could absolutely leave the yard too. That’s the point. They weren’t one-dimensional. Somewhere along the way, we confused measurable tools with knowing how to win baseball games. I’m not against analytics or hitting the ball hard, but there is an art to winning that you can’t fully measure. We need more guys who know how to play baseball, not just hitters, not just athletes, ballplayers. And I promise you, those dudes never go out of style

This is the last critical piece of the spectrum puzzle needed for SpaceX to provide complete phone coverage in America
AT&T CEO: Starlink Mobile won’t be able to penetrate walls. SpaceX: We’ve acquired 800 MHz spectrum, which will allow Starlink Mobile to provide better indoor coverage, including signals that can penetrate walls and other obstacles. People are underestimating Starlink Mobile.

UTSA scores the winning TD with :15 left in the game to take the 31-24 lead after the 2pt conversion. USF had just taken the lead with 1:56 on the clock What a wild game this turned into. Beep Beep

Very big deal
We announced an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio that will pave the way for @Starlink to become a major mobile carrier in the US. With this new spectrum and our Gen2 constellation, Starlink Mobile can ensure Americans have access to high-speed mobile broadband no matter where they are → spacex.com/updates#starlink-…

USF UTSA was a fun football game there at the end! It’s so smart having these smaller schools play during the week!

Using three openers in seven games isn’t enough pitching. Opener worked every time. But it leads to situations like last night where Fuentes was used three days after throwing 47 pitches. Dylan Lee’s decline also played a part, but having to cover 5.2 inn in WC Series G3 led to Sale making the relief appearance that compromised him Tuesday. The offense was horrible. But using openers wasn’t sustainable.
The Braves did have enough pitching.. I know what you mean but our pitchers handled their business. Game 4 walks as the exception.

Talafreako is an all-time nickname. I know we’re talking about the king of nicknames, but Talafreako has gotta be top 10 at least. It’s unbelievably good
Reporter: What's your favorite cut of steak? President Trump: "Honestly, I like them all, unlike Talafreako in Texas, where he's a vegan, and all of a sudden he eats steak, and he's not happy... this is a guy that likes lettuce, not steak." 🤣

Did someone say XP (It was always Peak)
Earlier this year, Asha shared her ambition for XBOX to become the #1 entertainment company in the world. Today, we are launching XP, a new division that will help grow our franchises into Film/TV, consumer products, theme parks, and more.

HILARIOUS: When Peyton Manning learned Drew Brees broke his all-time passing yards record. “Hey, Drew Brees just broke the record” “Which one?” “All-time passing yards” “Passing yards? Okay. So I still have the touchdown record, right?” “Not for long”
HISTORY: 8 years ago today, #Saints legendary QB Drew Brees broke the #NFL’s ALL-TIME career passing yards record. Brees surpassed Peyton Manning’s record of 71,940 yards on a 62-yard TD pass to Tre’Quan Smith. ONE OF THE GREATEST QUARTERBACKS EVER. 🐐

Gave this stat on the pod, but worth putting here. 13 players had at least one plate appearance for the Braves in the NLDS. Only 3 (!!!) of them had an OPS over .500 Harris, Albies, Murphy. (and it was Rowdy Tellez who was 4th-best at exactly .500)
We have reached the end. @BTRowland + @scottcoleman55 share their thoughts on the NLDS and much more. New episode out now

The fact that 40 is the largest denaturalization effort in modern history is shameful. It's a pathetic number. It should be 40,000. Dare I dream it: 4,000,000.
