A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children. I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

US press could learn a thing or two from their British counterparts. Maybe we wouldn't have got this far if they challenged them earlier.

Why should an elderly person needing social care, or a vulnerable child needing protection, lose essential services because their council disagrees with your immigration policy?
Under a Reform Government, councils that refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement will get zero public funds. Our borders aren’t optional.

The latest shocking revelations from within Reform UK need to be watched in full. Sickening racism. Appalling misogyny. Extreme and despicable views. Farage has proven time and again he can't stamp this out. Reform are completely unfit for office. itv.com/news/2026-10-14/insi…

Brutal op-ed from a former Zack Polanski ally who calls on him to resign - “This conference was a monument to his political timidity” - "I can’t respect someone who runs away" - "He lacked courage" - "Zack Polanski is my friend, but he is also a coward" huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/z…

I totally support trans rights, but this is just nonsense... The backlash is because he is unwilling &/or incapable of dealing with the antisemitism which has taken over his party... Corbyn 2.0!
Shelagh Fogarty predictably allowing a slew of callers on air demanding Zack Polanski step down, and for the Greens to go back to being the political equivalent of Gardeners World with Monty Don. Don’t under-estimate how much of this backlash is down to Zack standing up for trans people, btw. @LBC #LBC

Why is this a difficult question to answer ?
"Do you think that the state of Israel, as a safe home for Jews after the Holocaust and after the pogroms, has a right to exist?" @bbcnickrobinson repeatedly asks Green Party leader Zack Polanski.

We have referred @TheGreenParty to @EHRC. We will not stand idly by as extremists hijack a political party and make antisemitism its openly stated policy. The Green Party must face the consequences of its actions. CAA’s Chief Executive, @GideonFalter, explains.

And how did Corbyn's leadership, especially his inability/unwillingness to deal with Labour's antisemitism problem, end...
In early 2017, Corbyn's Labour lost Copeland - arguably the party's worst ever byelection result. Polling and morale hit rock bottom. In June, Labour got 41% of the vote and ended Theresa May's majority. We are just a year into Polanski's leadership. Calm down, everyone.

Zack Polanski repeatedly declared that the Greens were “replacing” Labour and said he was “incredibly confident” of winning Holborn & St Pancras. Finishing 12.8 points behind cannot be spun as a “good” result.

I agree with @aliciakearns - the assisted dying bill would not only give people the option to end their lives with dignity but help towards improving palliative care, I hope MPs vote for it once again today...

Things need to change, but the idea that someone under 18 - regardless of the offence - should be put to death by hanging is horrifying, we are not that country.
