Interesting to see the SNP enthusiastically embrace Burnham's agenda of regional government. Ricky Bell very positive on the potential to transform Scotland. Bell's an interesting guy with a can-do attitude. Already feels like a new broom in Glasgow.

Just to put this in context Scotgov already agreed last year to devolve further powers to Glasgow City Region. Their door is open. Would be good if UK gov could bring itself to talk to Glasgow direct at some point. They really like talking about us. To us, not so much.

I am pleased that agreement has been reached on equal pay between the unions and Glasgow City Council. Thanks to DFM @JennyGilruthMSP for her intensive work and to all parties involved for their constructive engagement in this process.

Reaching this point has only been possible because of the hard work and commitment shown by both the unions and the Council. The job is not finished, and we remain focused on providing the assurances our workforce rightly expects.

We are one step closer to our fundamental objective of ending pay discrimination once and for all and putting in place a fair pay scheme that our workforce can have confidence in.

While we might disagree on independence, we can all agree that Scotland is a nation, and its people have the right to decide their future. That is the simple principle I'm asking all MSPs in the Scottish Parliament to vote for today.

Exactly Allan - the problem they think homelessness is the solution. I have personally gone through this process, so I understand it far better than they do. They seem to assume they’re in a position to educate me, when in reality, they would do well to educate themselves first.
