Remember #9: Olivia Chow is #9 on the ballot. There are 2 Chows on the ballot - she is the second Chow on the list at #9.
Yesterday Olivia Chow said she almost voted for the wrong mayoral candidate because there's someone else with her last name on the ballot. Today her campaign sent out an email telling supporters to make sure they tick the box for the right Chow.

Replying to @BradMBradford
This promise from Bradford is empty campaigning with a hidden destructive agenda. He cares so little about water that he voted against the heatwave program providing water to homeless people. And he is known for flip flopping on critical issues like bike lanes and shelters.

Legal experts confirm what we already knew: with Brad Bradford’s water corporation, control of Toronto's drinking water will be in Doug Ford's hands and the door will be open to privatization.

It’s wild that Brad Bradford vehemently opposed giving water to homeless people during a heat wave and now he wants to give control of Toronto’s water away forever to the highest bidder

This is what kills me about the 'cycle on side streets' on Yonge crowd. The laziness of the argument.
Is it too much to ask for publishers of articles advocating for cycling routes on secondary roads in Toronto to require their authors to submit a proposed alternative? @RDiManno, is this the sort of secondary route you're thinking as an alternative to the Yonge Street lanes?

Earlier today, I wrote to Doug Ford, asking him to work with the Prime Minister on a plan for public ownership of Stelco. We don’t make this call lightly, but this is a unique moment in our history. One that demands bold, ambitious, and urgent action. We must put ideology aside and put Ontario workers first.       Ontario cannot stand on the sidelines while our industrial capacity is dismantled. Inaction has already resulted in hundreds of layoffs across the province. If we wait any longer, we don't just risk losing good-paying, unionized jobs, but also decades of expertise and industrial capacity.   The best time to act has passed. The second-best time is now. Doug Ford needs to put his money where his mouth is and protect good Ontario jobs.

Bradford creates an ideological privatization answer to a water problem that doesn't exist. England's disastrous privatization efforts should be our warning. The world is upside down when a Conservative like Bradford wants to put us in debt. Bad idea. thestar.com/opinion/contribu…

Remembering the great Art Blakey who was born on this day in 1919. He was known for his brilliant playing and for the establishment of The Jazz Messengers, a band that he led for 35 years. Here, he is performing a drum solo on “Blues March” by Benny Golson in France, 1974.

60 years ago, The Supremes' "You Keep Me Hangin' On" was released as a single. Written and produced by Holland–Dozier–Holland for Diana Ross and the Supremes. A harder, more urgent Motown single than the group’s earlier ballads

Happy birthday to Art Blakey, born on this day in 1919! Drummer and bandleader of the Jazz Messengers, the long-running hard-bop group that turned young sidemen into leaders. His press rolls and explosive hi-hat defined the sound.
