I I would not mind Kevin Long returning to the Mets.
Mike Puma@NYPost_Mets1h
Kevin Long is scheduled to speak with the Mets tomorrow about a coaching staff position, per source. Long was fired as Phillies hitting coach last week. He was Mets hitting coach the last time the team reached the World Series. He is close with Juan Soto from Nats days.

Hey everyone, I’m excited to announce I’m gonna start a YouTube channel called Believe in the Orange and Blue. It will be an extension of this page that allows me to discuss my thoughts on the Mets.

Hey everybody, I’m sorry but I’m gonna have to change the day and time to Mondays at 7 PM. I do not want to go up against BNNY.

I’m sorry I’m passing on Sato. His number seem impressive, but the Mets have never had good luck with Japanese players and I also don’t like the fact that he has never played first base before. I’m tired of putting round pegs in square holes.

The Hanshin Tigers accepted Teruaki Sato's posting request 👀 The 27-year-old slashed .306/.383/.609 with a 196 wRC+ and 39 homers over 143 NPB games this year. Sato hit 163 homers over six years.

I absolutely love this kids attitude. I can’t wait until he is ready to be the Mets starting third baseman. #LGM

Jefferson Rojas on the instructions and restrictions given by the Mets to his LIDOM team: “Honestly, so far I haven’t had any restrictions. I think I’m open until the team needs me. They (Mets) really want me to gain a bit more veteran experience here, learn a little more from the experience, and try to take a good impression away from here. At the end of the day, it’s a competitive and high pressure league, and I want to try to acquire and improve as much as I can.” 🎥 @norviguerra

I would much rather try to get T.J. Rumfield. I’m not sure if he’s still under contract with Colorado or not.

Teruaki Sato will be posted by his Japanese club sny.tv/articles/mets-teruaki…

Possible Mets target Teruaki Sato to be posted by Japanese club

The Mets have interest in reigning NPB MVP Teruaki Sato, who could possibly fill New York's enormous hole at first base.

I would rather give Emilien Pitre who the Mets got in the Freddy Peralta trade a chance to be the opening day second baseman. He comes from the Rays system who knows how to develop players. He is the ninth ranked second base prospect in all of baseball.

"If Marcus Semien continues to look similar to the player he was this past season, the Mets should be quickly prepared to turn to Jefferson Rojas as the starter at second base. And given Stearns' comments about the situation at the end of the season, that seems to be a likely scenario." Who should be the Mets' second baseman in 2027? Who should Mets' second baseman be in 2027? Breaking down the options

After Marcus Semien's struggles in 2026, the Mets' second base situation is unsettled.

This also gives Rojas a chance to further develop at third base in AAA. Now if Bichette surprisingly opts out then he should be the starting third baseman to start the season. Pitre would be an awesome bridge until.Voit is ready to be the full-time second baseman

I think they had more people at their stadium watching the game on the big screen than the Dodgers had at Dodger Stadium last night.

This was the reaction in Milwaukee as the Brewers clinched a spot in their first World Series in 44 years by sweeping the Dodgers.

This quote by Pat Murphy was awesome. He really took a dig at the Dodgers. 😄

Since @ShaunMorash and Gio like to harass Mets fans about David Stearns I guess you didn’t know that the NLCS MVP is a former Yankees prospect. I bet you guys would like to have Jake Bauers right now. Way to go, Brian Cashman.

This is all for all the David Stearns haters, especially all the Yankee big mouths on WFAN. Almost half of the Brewers roster was either acquired or drafted by David Stearns. I can see the Mets with their young talent, either here or on the way becoming like Brewers. #LGM

Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers as they have swept the two time defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

Dodgers may be done folks as David Hamilton hits a solo home run and gives Milwaukee some insurance as they now lead 6-4.
