And another one...this time for 1200 MW NESO has now requested just under 2 GW of Emergency Assistance from our neighbours on a windy autumn day when demand is doing nothing unusual and nothing tripped....why? @Miatsf @mgshanks @AndrewBowie_MP @ClaireCoutinho @HarrietCross_MP @drlukeevans @Ashley7Fox @TiceRichard @cmackinlay @DavidGHFrost @mattwridley @Iromg @AllisonPearson @EdConwaySky @afneil @CitySamuel @mattotele @Jonathan__Leake @energygovuk
What's going on with @neso_energy? Today it has been forced to request Emergency Assistance to reduce exports - the alert below does not specify which country has been asked to assist but at 700 MW this is quite a large amount All interconnectors are set to export this evening except Eleclink which appears to be on maintenance and NSL (Norway) which is importing As can be seen from the charts (from Amira Technologies) it's very windy with a lot of wind output being curtailed The frequency looks OK for now, but perhaps NESO is worried it won't stay that way, or maybe it's due to congestion in the SE (map from LCP Enact) Either way, it's another windy day, nothing has tripped, yet NESO is asking our neighbours for Emergency Assistance...why? @Miatsf @mgshanks @AndrewBowie_MP @ClaireCoutinho @HarrietCross_MP @drlukeevans @Ashley7Fox @TiceRichard @cmackinlay @ColinMoynihanUK @DavidGHFrost @mattwridley @Iromg @AllisonPearson @MerrynSW @EdConwaySky @afneil @CitySamuel @mattotele @Jonathan__Leake @energygovuk

⚠️ ALERT ⚠️ We now have footage of another private AlbaStar plane, this time in the cargo area of Birmingham airport. The exit stairs are covered so whatever they are doing can't be seen. What can be seen are the same private coaches that have been seen offloading migrants in Liverpool, Manchester and other places. Although its possible these are migrants being deported, If the government was deporting entire plane loads of migrants, why aren't they screaming about it from the rooftops like they did when they deported a plane full of Brazilians?

🚨 MEET THE EX POLICE OFFICER PAID 500,000 POUNDS TO TELL COPS NIGEL FARAGE BELONGS IN PRISON Look closely at this man's face. His name is Abbas Najib, a former police officer whose organisation took nearly 500,000 pounds in public grants. He was hired by the state to train counter terror staff and police officers in Yorkshire. First, he taught public officials that the Virgin Mary wore a hijab and that Jesus grew an Islamic beard. Then he looked a room full of police officers in the eye and told them Nigel Farage is a criminal who should be locked up for his political speech. Let that sink in! Your hard earned tax money is being paid to an activist to tell law enforcement officers that the leader of Reform UK belongs behind bars. Two tier policing is being actively funded with your cash to criminalize democratic opposition.

This is the sort of thing that kills used market: battery may absolutely fine and with a lovely warranty But crap engineering has produced a leak prone On Board Charger and then put it in a really bad place "Oh but it wasn't a battery fire..." @BarrieCrampton @GeoffBuysCars
This FIAT OBC should be recalled. Apparently, dangerous products in the EU are simply never recalled. Does every sample need to catch fire inside the OBC first? If this were a Tesla, Elon would be crucified at the Gigafactory, and every EU newspaper would be dragging Tesla through the mud for months. #doublestandards evclinic.eu/2026/09/16/fiat-…

The UK government will sanction Israel £10m of goods for something which doesn’t affect us. However, the UK government won’t halt visas or foreign aid to Pakistan, who refuse to take back their child rapists. This is a choice based on Muslim votes being more important to them.

What??? This is so see through, of course the press will ignore the biggest part of this story! under the guise of ‘protecting’ people from bad builders the gov is launching an app. The new government “Trusted Payments” system to stop ‘cowboy builders’ will create an extraordinarily detailed digital record every time you use it for work on your home including… ▪️Your name and address ▪️Exactly what work is being done ▪️Contracts and quotes ▪️The cost of the work ▪️Payment milestones ▪️Photographs and snagging records ▪️Payment approvals and transaction records And on the business ▪️Identity and business details ▪️Bank/payment information ▪️Business and tax numbers ▪️All work they carry out So a simple private transaction between you and your builder becomes a structured digital record of WHO you are, WHERE you live, WHAT you are doing to your property and HOW MUCH you are spending on it! You would be insane to voluntarily share this data with a government tying up data between all departments, creating a massive file on you! Come on people Wakey Wakey!

Who can forget ex Makerfield MP Josh Simmons who selflessly gave up his seat and his £92,000 salary so that Andy Burnham could run for Labour leader. I am glad he has been able to find himself a job as Andy Burnhams head of policy on £180,000 a year.

I’m glad you’ve left this up (tho that’s probably because of your serial incompetence rather than intentional). It illustrates that you’ve taken the phrase ‘useful idiots’ to hitherto unexplored heights. Congrats.
Jason Arday is the youngest Black professor in Cambridge’s history – and now rightwing newspapers are trying to smear him with untrue accusations of plagiarism. Not on our watch. Add your name in solidarity with Jason here: goodlaw.social/sktj

The information in this video is outdated and incorrect. Arday has resigned his professorship at Cambridge without admitting fault. He did this after an enormous amount of additional information demonstrating his fabulism and plagiarism came to light. thetimes.com/uk/education/a… nytimes.com/2026/08/03/boo…

Police investigated journalist who tried to expose the fantasist Cambridge professor. Scotland Yard investigated a journalist who tried to expose a plagiarism row and told him to stop asking Professor Jason Arday questions. Times Higher Education (THE) journalist Jack Grove was accused of harassment after emailing Professor Arday a series of legitimate questions about his academic record. Arday instructed the law firm Carter-Ruck, which suggested in a letter to THE that its “apparent attack” on him “may be… racially motivated”. Arday has claimed that he did not speak before his 12th birthday, could not read or write until he was 18, completed 30 marathons in 30 days, and appeared on a TV show that aired 20 years before he was born. The Met Police spent four months investigating the harassment allegation against Mr Grove. Mr Grove was never interviewed and only discovered the investigation after officers informed him they would be taking no further action. It is also reported that the Met passed a complaint to another police force about an academic who was also looking into Professor Arday’s record, but that force declined to investigate. The Free Speech Union is well aware of the Met’s penchant for wasting time on investigations into non-crimes while claiming it lacks the resources to tackle real crime. Mr Grove told The Telegraph: “I was told a complaint had been made against me and investigated, but the force was not taking it forward. The officer told me that I shouldn’t contact Professor Arday again because his mental health had been affected by my actions. “I asked him what I had done, and he said there had been online posts about Professor Arday. I said I’d never posted anything about him and asked him if he realised he was speaking to a journalist investigating a story. He didn’t really respond but repeated his request that I not contact Professor Arday again, citing his mental health. “I was just doing my job. Journalists should be free to ask questions of anyone, even star professors. It’s very rare for academics to refuse to speak to the press – that prompted me to look into this matter further, and I was astonished by what I found.” It is astonishing that the police still cannot comprehend the importance of free speech and a free press. Scotland Yard investigating a journalist for asking legitimate questions in the public interest is deeply disturbing. Read more below 👇

This is unbelievable. Jack Grove, a reporter with the Times Education Supplement, who was investigating Cambridge professor Jason Arday over plagiarism charges received a phone call from Scotland Yard saying he should stop asking him questions as it was affecting his mental health. Good grief. Mr Grove had sent Professor Arday a series of questions concerning the word-for- word copying from another students’ work that helped him get his PhD. The Telegraph reports that unknown to Mr Gove somebody had called in the Yard and accused him of harassment. Total bollocks of course. After months of inquiry the Yard called Mr Gove out of the blue and said they had dropped the case but told him not send anymore questions. Correctly Mr Gove took no notice and today Professor Arday is in big trouble. Alongside the plagiarism he is being accused of making up a claim he ran 600 miles in six days, raised £5.5million for charity was a visiting professor in Ohio and helped Water Aid project abroad when Water Aid don’t allow activists abroad. Apart from that it’s all true. What the hell are the cops doing warning journalists about asking questions. I see Carter Ruck are acting for Arday. The Telegraph, the Times and Guardian will see them off. In one their many notes the solicitors claimed the investigation may have been “racially motivated”. Were I Mr Gove I would be demanding money and an apology for that.

🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Animal rights campaigner, Anneka Svenska, was visited at home by two police officers and told to accept a police record, attend an “online thinking” course, or face arrest following comments she made on social media about the incineration of beagles at a company that breeds the dogs for use in medical research. The police alleged that she had committed a crime under the Online Safety Act. Anneka refused to accept this “community resolution disposal”, which would have remained on her police record, and, after she engaged a lawyer, the case has now been dropped. Section 179 of the Online Safety Act was introduced by the last Conservative Government and made it a crime, punishable by up to 51 weeks in prison, to knowingly spread false information likely to cause harm. While the Bill was going through Parliament, the FSU warned it might be weaponised in this way to silence legitimate political speech. Anneka doesn’t believe the information she spread about the company was false. In fact, she has documentary evidence which she says substantiates her claims. Until the Online Safety Act was passed, the company unhappy about comments like this would have had to bring a defamation claim in the civil courts. Now, it seems, hurty words online can quickly become a police matter – and it seems that companies are now making criminal complaints as part of their brand protection strategies. If you are visited by the police for a speech matter, we’d urge you to take specialist legal advice before accepting any form of caution or submitting to a re-education course. Members of the Free Speech Union can ask for our help if they find themselves in a similar situation.
