Super happy to have contributed to this forthcoming book published by @BusaraCenter along with @Matteo_Galizzi . We discuss the need to rethink #BPP for global challenges. @VU_IVM @LSE_PBS
Research is expanding its influence beyond non-academic domains, notably in development and policy. We're happy to announce the launch of a new book next week that explores the relationship between meta-research and development. Here's a preview of what to expect: linkedin.com/pulse/better-ho…
A big thank you to all the authors whose contributions have shaped this book.

#Nudging is critiqued to “work in dark”. Ex-ante #Transparency & ex-post #endorsement are 2 responses — @MollieGerver, @peterjohn10 & I propose a third, “ask consent”. We show asking for consent & violating it retains #effectiveness but ⬇️ welfare: #WP: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.…
#CfA now #live

I’ve handled the review of > 1000 papers at @nature. Over time, you notice aspects of presentation on which reviewers tend to comment. In the interests of minimizing hassles during review, I offer the following suggestions (a bit targeted to climate papers).
Thinking before nudging — nudge+ increases the effectiveness of the nudge by 40%. Read more 👇🏻
Did you know, reflection before a nudge can build on the effectiveness of the nudge. That’s what we showed recently in this @naturesustainab article using experimental insights, joint w @Matteo_Galizzi @peterjohn10 @smmour. Read more: nature.com/articles/s41893-0…

Not so often you come across books which can make a deep impact on the evolution of a field! Here’s one such by Adam Oliver, whom I’m fondly call the father of Behavioural Public Policy (@BPPjournal @ibppa)
I review the last of @1969ajo’s trilogy. Read 👇🏻 and a 🧵 – at Amsterdam, The Netherlands
🆕 A Political Economy of Behavioural Public Policy by Adam Oliver @1969ajo @LSESocialPolicy @CambridgeUP argues for a liberal framework of #BehaviouralPublicPolicy that prioritises individual autonomy.
