“K-killed one of..? Wait, wait..” Neat brows furrow; a look of confusion sweeping across her features. “When did you find all this out?! I spoke to Joe about the whole lying situation, but he failed to mention any of this? Are you sure? I mean, could just be a rumour.”

“He may have lied, yes. But how bad can he be? Really, he seems alright. Just wanted a fresh start and I think that’s something we can all relate to.”

“You’re both babies to me, of course I’m gonna worry about /both/ of you. As for Joe... he’s harmless..? At least he has her back.”

“And thank god you’re not, you don’t need to concentrate on boys at your age.”

Awfully quiet around here. Hm.

“Yes. Exactly. Ron, you’re too young; go back to juice.”

“Mhm. That’s what I thought.” Delilah dips her cranium into a little nod, watching as the boy scurries to retrieve her snacks.

Elicits a chuckle, dainty digits presses to her brims to soften the sound. “I assume that wasn’t intentional, huh.”

“No, you’re too young.”

Narrows eyes, one brow raised. “Yeah, hop to it. I want my cheetos.”

“Yes, I see that. Each to their own, I guess.”

“I’m not exactly the sweetest ‘round here.”

“Well, don’t get too used to it.”

Brims curve upwards slightly to form the faintest smile. “How... cute.”

“Right.. Well, nice to meet you, Jace. I’m Delilah.”

“And you are..?”
