BREAKING: NVIDIA introduces forward-deployable, containerized modular AI data centers.
The company announced DSX POD, a factory-manufactured modular data center design intended to reduce deployment times from six months to as little as 14 days at prepared sites. The systems feature pre-integrated computing, networking, cabling, and liquid cooling.
Key partners include @armada_ai and @anduriltech, among others, with initial deliveries expected in early 2027.

Sam Altman just said: there are only 3 paths for AI safety and this is fucking madness
Path 1: an international body like the IAEA.
Path 2: the biggest labs merge into 1 organization, CERN style, building the technology on behalf of participating countries.
Path 3: 1 company dominates compute, a plan he reportedly called terrible. He also reportedly said OpenAI has to pick within the next year.
Read this again. Open weights are not on it. Not as a path, not as a footnote.
In every version a few institutions hold the model and everybody else gets access through them. A global regulator deciding who can train. A merged mega lab serving "participating countries". Or 1 company with all the GPUs. Your role in all 3 plans is the same: customer, if they allow it.
Qwen, DeepSeek, GLM, MiniMax and Kimi are the only reason a 4th option exists today: the model is on your disk, and nobody has to approve you.
I will take my 4x 3090 over any of their fucking plans.
Sam Altman told OpenAI staff that one approach to AI safety could involve merging the biggest AI labs into a single organization.
But with OpenAI and Anthropic racing toward IPOs, coordinating with rivals could prove difficult.

deepseek posted way more alpha on their zhihu page, if you only read twitter you are reading the laowai approved stuff
"Based on this framework, we have implemented a high-throughput, low-latency large-scale inference service for DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. Currently, the service throughput of a single cluster is 155 trillion tokens/day, and the overall revenue is $38 per card per hour (based on off-peak prices)."
it costs roughtly $5-10 per gpu hour so depseek is claiming 80% serving margin at THEIR prices lololololol

Grow up in a boom, then demand others live in artificial scarcity, pay more of the shared burden until you’ve extracted all you possibly can.
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

Nobody:
Absolutely nobody:
Boomers: young people should pay for my retirement. We should tax young people more. Also we alone shouldn’t pay property taxes, or income taxes, or any taxes. Let’s screw over every younger generation so we can play slots all day and go on cruises
It's the electorates fault and no one has the balls to say it
This will have consequences. This isn’t the Boomers fault, this generation simply owned assets that protected them against massive debasement. But anger is directed towards those who say nothing is wrong and keep supporting reckless fiscal and monetary policy. Rising rates finally puts an end to loading up our younger generations with debt to buy these assets. This is resulting in political upheaval and the election of those with extremist positions either far left or far right. I go into much further detail martin-Pelletier.com

I know a boomer whose son was dying of cancer and needed more funds for treatment but didn’t want to liquidate any of his assets.
He had a 2 million dollar home he bought for $28,000. Four European luxury cars. A boat and was a member of an exclusive country club that charged nearly six figures annually.
He chalked it up to, “Even if he gets treatment it would only extend his life by 6 months to a year.”
I always saw him crying and hugging people in search of glazing for his bravery and phony moments of intimacy over people who offered him sympathy.
Boomers are absolute clowns.
