Gonna go to Oxford street and do a little jig in the middle of the street

There are a billion other roads cyclists can use there, it’s literally a non issue, go away or get off the bike.
carys@blindandb0ujeeOct 27
Hey so the fact that there are no plans to put a cycle lane directly through Oxford Street is good, actually. It would work if cyclists were capable of stopping at a zebra crossing to let pedestrians get to the other side of the road. That largely isn’t the case.

No and they shouldn't- the whole point is it's a destination *not* a thoroughfare. No through traffic.
Alexander Louis Sallons@sallonsaxOct 26
Did they seriously not plan a central cycle lane down it?

So many bots and out of towners throwing tantrums about Oxford St being pedestrianised. Went midday, on a weekday and it was rammed. Space is needed and now we have it. Carnaby St has been pedestrianised since 1973, not one person thinks “I wish there were busses and cars here”

Jotaro is the part after him’s villain’s biggest fear (and kills him), Rohan comes back for 15 extra stories, Koichi turns up for a bit and is normal, Polnareff is back for a but and is actually important but does suffer. Joseph gets shit, he’s a senile cheater goodbye forever.

Replying to @SibilantSays
araki kinda has a "kill your darlings" type of attitude with part callbacks which is hard not to respect. only he would bring back a fan favorite from a previous part only to turn them into a turtle.

Because he is Batman 2 and NOT super specialist boy replacement Batman 1 (If you call him anything other than just Batman people will try to kill you)

Cap thing got me wondering. Has there ever been a superhero passing the mantle that was universally well received? Peter -> Ben & Miles as Spider-Man has been bumpy. Steve -> Sam as Cap too. I think Terry as Batman is the only one everyone liked. Idk why though.

I think Terry works because they 1) didn't make Batman less capable to make room for a new guy, he grew old 2) Bruce is his mentor/handler 3) Terry isn't just instantly great, he's flawed & has to improve 4) It's far enough in the future for him to have his own rogues gallery

Been thinking about this tweet and god it reminds me that even Dio dropped his whole villain act the moment he realized Jonathan was dead. Like Jonathan is so goated he's the only person Dio had real respect for.
