OK, here it is: every time you tweet or like something about trans people in bathrooms, changing rooms or sport, you are endangering my trans (and non binary & gender-nonconforming) friends and family in their daily lives. Please tell me if your friends or family have ever...

Hi @CamPicturehouse @picturehouses - why the aggressive late arrivals policy? My friend drove 15 miles to see The Lost Children of Tuam. Roadworks meant she was late to the screening. Despite many requests and assuring them she would enter quietly what was likely to be ...

Well that's a pretty miserable promotion @SadiqKhan , when you have said you stand with the trans community. Profits from this shop will go to fund anti-trans court cases against institutions like the NHS and Amnesty.
“The wand chooses the wizard.” 🪄 And in this case, it chose Oxford Street. Congratulations to Warner Bros on the UK’s largest Harry Potter shop. Another brilliant new destination for the West End, and proof that Oxford Street is well and truly on the up. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdrv…

TRANSLUCENT'S LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE EHRC CODE. I founded TransLucent because I believed the trans community deserved an organisation that would fight misinformation wherever it matters - in Parliament, in the media, and, if necessary, in the courts. Today, that fight may be heading to the High Court. On 3rd July, TransLucent served a formal legal notice on the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Secretary of State for Women and Equalities, challenging the new draft statutory Code of Practice for misstating the law on trans inclusion. We do this as a trans-led Community Interest Company with a recognised voice in this space and direct, ongoing engagement with the EHRC on this very Code. That matters — it means we're not speaking as outsiders, but as the community this Code will deeply affect. In short, TransLucent has "standing". We know the @EHRC has faced very serious criticism from many people over the past years, and we fully understand why - we were there at the start. There can be no doubt that thousands of people have been harmed by the actions of this organisation because of its past makeup of gender critical bad faith actors put in place to facilitate a culture war against a tiny and highly vulnerable minority. But this challenge isn't about relitigating that history - it's about fixing specific, identifiable errors. Here's what winning would mean in practice. Right now, the Code tells every employer and service provider in England, Scotland and Wales that including trans people in appropriate facilities is "very likely" unlawful. That single phrase has already led some employers, NHS trusts, councils and universities to change long-standing inclusive policies — not because they wanted to, but because they believed the law left them no choice. If we win on this point, that overreaching language goes. Employers and service providers who want to run inclusive services would regain the legal clarity to do so, with the Code supporting them rather than working against them. The Code also suggests that offering mixed-sex facilities could itself amount to direct sex discrimination against women. We say that's a mischaracterisation: at most, this could only ever be indirect discrimination, which the law allows to be objectively justified. Winning on this ground would confirm that mixed-sex provision, where proportionate, is legally defensible — not a trap for providers trying to do the right thing. These aren't abstract legal technicalities to us. They could be the difference between a trans woman being able to use appropriate facilities at work, an NHS patient being cared for on the right ward, or a trans teenager using the right facilities at college. To be clear: we are not asking the court to rewrite the Equality Act, though in the longer term that must be an aim. We're asking it to correct a statutory Code that overstates the law against trans people — using reasoning the High Court has already recognised in a previous judgment. We need your help to get there. Judicial reviews are expensive — often costing well over £100,000. However, we are applying for a costs cap, but nevertheless, we still need to raise £20,000 via CrowdJustice to cover the pre-action phase and reach the permission hearing. Finally, a huge thank you to the team of ten people (including six lawyers) who worked flat out over five weeks to get us here. Please help. Every share....every donation....however small... moves us closer. Thank you, Steph x crowdjustice.com/case/challe…

Hi @picturehouses - just saying that if you had good WiFi, I would stay here at PHC for dinner and a film but I have to leave to get work done and may just go home. We both lose out 😥

This is terrifying. Now stop & understand that you are watching a security guard protecting Israel’s arms manufacture attacking peaceful activists with a sledgehammer - violence that led to a police woman suffering an injury treated with paracetamol.

So yesterday it was revealed that Lesbian Greens is run by a straight man & the anti trans Chair of the ECHR which produced the segregation document told the Select Committee that they’re trying to fix a problem that doesn’t actually exist. Wow.
Christine Jardine asks the Chair of the EHRC, now more than one protected characteristic can associate together, can Womens Institute, now call themselves Women and Trans Women Institute. Stephenson is unbearably petty.

On behalf of their client, Zara Sultana, Bindmans Media and Information Law Practise Group requires that I publish the following statement on X, and that such statement must be clearly visible and pinned to my profile for a continuous period of no less than 24 hours: “On 30 March 2026, I published a post on my X account addressed to Zarah Sultana in which I stated that she encourages and incites violence and is friends with terrorists. Those statements are false. I was wrong and offer my sincere apologies to Ms Sultana for the harm and distress caused to her.” It is my very great pleasure to do this, and I reiterate my sincere and repeated offer to meet with Miss Zara Sultana in person to resolve our differences.

Hi @nationalexpress - I booked a ticket yesterday from Mile End but neither at the time of booking nor on your website did you tell me the stop was closed. I didn't have time to get to the next stop at Bow. The driver was unhelpful. Will you refund / cover train tickets?

If you're arresting people for this, @metpoliceuk , will you arrest Nick Tenconi for talking about 'Islamist filth' into a microphone on his march. If that isn't hate speech, what is?
Replying to @metpoliceuk
A woman was arrested in Whitehall in the past few minutes after she was seen wearing a t-shirt with the words ‘globalise the intifada’ on.

Why @greateranglia , if there are carriages where the doors don't open at certain stations, is there no announcement? Everything else us announced but not that. I just failed to get off at Newport. Really unhelpful.

Embarrassing turnout for Nazi Nick Tenconi in central LDN today. Just managing 100 far right goons. Meanwhile 200 anti-fascists are opposing them - and more importantly Whitechapel is full of thousands of anti-racists They did not pass! #StandUpToRacism
