When @AmazonUK give you a completely fictitious delivery date (and poor/useless updates) for a parcel being delivered by Evri, is it Amazon being incompetent or Evri lying to Amazon...?
I never used to have any problems with Amazon deliveries!

Reading the finale to the Book of Dust by Philip Pullman, and a scene is introduced as featuring three men and two women – but it's actually four men and one woman. How can such a big publisher let mistakes like this slip through proofing?? @PenguinUKBooks

One hundred years after the publication of Mein Kampf, the National Library of Scotland still holds four copies in its collection. But a book in which women document their fight to preserve their rights is regarded as so dangerous that staff feel “unsafe”. This is madness.

Finally managed to do some CPD today! A health editing course by the Patient Information Forum to gain more of a perspective on editing medical information aimed at a lay audience (UK adult literacy levels are shocking). Useful and well designed half-day course – recommended.

I am very concerned by the increasing onslaught on women-specific language, which seeks to erase the reality of womanhood itself and deny its innate and sex-related specificity. A number of influential media outlets, organizations, academic and health institutions, and experts are complicit in what can only be described as a new form of #ViolenceAgainstWomen. It must be stated that words such as "non-transgender women”, "cis women" and the like do not reflect any UN- or otherwise internationally-agreed standards. I call on media and all stakeholders to uphold the dignity of women and respect their human rights.
