Hey, what's going on in @BeaumontSchStA Library? We're excitedly getting ready for tomorrow's visit of @EleFountain, author of our whole school read. We've invited 65 lucky Year 7s to hear Ele talk about 'Melt'. See you in the Library, period 5...don't be late!

To celebrate both Culture Day and 'Melt', our whole school read, we asked students to explore the threat to the lives and traditions of the Canadian Inuit. Hilary chose to write an opinion piece for a newspaper. It's a brilliant article. This is just an extract. Proud to share.

So far this term, 96 @BeaumontSchStA students and staff have borrowed a copy of our new whole school read. Book reviews are flooding in and 'Melt' pin badges are being worn with pride. Dear @EleFountain, Annabel in Year 7 would like a sequel, please!

During DEAR Day, @BeaumontSchStA students have been listening to extracts from 'Melt', our new whole school read by @EleFountain, and creating bookmarks in response. These striking designs, by Zara in Year 9 and Trent in Year 8, have captured the main characters brilliantly.
