When I see a person I see both an agent and a robot. Over time these will become increasingly separable. Biology makes fantastic robots, but it’s really the agents that are important.

Introducing "Light Field Networks: Neural Scene Representations with Single-Evaluation Rendering"! vsitzmann.github.io/lfns (w/ video!) LFNs are the first fully implicit neural scene representation with real-time rendering, without post-processing / hybrid data-structures! (1/n)

USDTBULL on FTX is up over 50% in a year. It holds USDT-PERP rebalanced to 3x leverage. A long USDT-PERP position only paid funding at an average of about 5% p.a. over that period. So where did the rest of those returns come from? What am I missing? Seems... wrong. 🤔

Just a silly reminder that this paper is kinda fun (and is now on arXiv!) Essentially, it shows just how much you can do without using oracles: any (capped) monotonic payoff can be replicated without the use of an oracle! arxiv.org/abs/2111.13740

This was pretty amazing to read and I highly recommend you do so — the biggest questions I had are: 1. Why did this guy think the USG’s spending limit was $100k? 2. What country was this? I actually can’t figure out who would want the data tendered (Russia? China?)

Cryptographers: If Alice wants to get an anonymous payment, can we break the math? FBI: Alice, please put the nuclear submarine plans on an SD card in a peanut butter sandwich and leave it in a park. We'll pay you 10k anonymously in Monero if you do. justice.gov/opa/press-releas…

This paper is from the future; I never thought I’d have to remember properties about PSL(2, Z) outside of for string theory, but Mr. Kane has found a way to make a way more efficient digital money (use the no-cloning theorem instead of hash chains) eprint.iacr.org/2021/1294

Being compatible with atomic operations is the main reason that CFMMs (O(1) update) are significantly more robust than order books (worst case O(n) updates) on-chain And this is even more clear when there’s a liveness fault!
i think its underappreciated that blockchains allow you to do atomic transactions with 100% confidence that it will fully succeed or fail even things like doing a Twitter/Instragram handle swap is hard to guarantee... someone out there may be frontrunning you with a faster bot

So the simple regulatory arbitrage is to create a highly regulatory compliant custodial stablecoin. Then wrap it as on-chain collateral into an algorithmic stablecoin with minimal governance.

What if 1 token could be decoupled in 3 parts for example : Principal part : passet Yield part : yasset Voting power part : vasset We already have the first 2 parts & the 3rd part could bootstrap new utility like lending your vassets to "Dao activists" 👀 @prism_protocol 🤔

It’s funny when in equities you talk about the ideas you “missed” and it’s like a 3-4x over 2 years In crypto you can miss a 100x at moderate size in a year and it’s not even the worst miss you have that year

There is nothing more amazing than seeing MMT acolytes proposing that the US government mint NFTs that are non-transferable, onlyOwner, and non-fractionalizable I don’t expect derivatives markets (even CME stalwarts ZB/GE/etc.) to be so kind, as we’ve learned in FX and crypto

A) The coin is not "literally" just printing money because it's a coin, not paper. B) The coin is not even figurative money printing, because it wouldn't enter circulation or expand any monetary aggregates

Look, by the Horse and Carriage Act of 1831, we need to put this into an existing category. Is it a horse? Or is it a carriage?

Did humans REALLY build the New York City subway system? At $1 billion per mile in today’s costs, how could primitive 20th century humans have built 850 miles of track? Did they have …extraterrestrial assistance? Or did they have some way of not spending a goddamn billion/mile?

the right incentive at the right time can change everything dydx, polygon, avalanche, etc the overton window has shifted in favor of discretionary token incentivization programs vs. programmatic now look to the L2s when they print tokies the ETH narrative will accelerate
