Bracketball 2026-27 Top 100 CBB Players #20: John Blackwell (Duke, G | Sr.) One of the hottest names in the portal this past year and a new arrival in Durham. Duke feels like it will be a really nice fit for Blackwell as he looks to round out his college career with a National Title. He’s an incredibly smooth two guard that has the ability to microwave with the best of ‘em. Hes not going to beat you with speed or athleticism but for what he lacks there, he makes up for with a great feel for the game. You won’t see Blackwell force shots that aren’t there or within the structure of the offense which is really very valuable, especially with high volume shooters. Blackwell’s go-to would be a shot off the catch and he should be getting plenty of that in Scheyer’s offense with all the talent he’ll be surrounded by. Whether it be getting dished the rock from one of the three creators in Foster, Boozer or Rippey, or in and out ball with JBB, Ngongba, Williams, Scharnowski, etc.; Blackwell is going to get a TON of good looks. I love how JB’s game fits into this offense. It’s going to be seriously fun to watch. Blackwell’s projected line for 2026-27: 17.1 PPG 3.9 RPG 2.9 APG Projections powered by @CBBAnalytics 20 days until College Basketball. Video Credits to @B1GMBBall
