Mississippi received $32M from NTIA’s Broadband Infrastructure Program in 2022, funding 14 projects by six providers and reaching nearly 9,000 addresses. All projects are now complete, with grant closeout finalized on Jan 23, 2026.
BEAM is delivering results for rural Mississippi! Of 47 CPF-funded broadband projects, 36 are fully complete and 4 more are over 90%. All remaining projects finish by June 30, 2027. See the progress map below: broadbandms.com/progress/cpf…

Mississippi has received final federal approval for its comprehensive plan to expand broadband infrastructure to every area of the state that still lacks access to high‑speed internet.
Preliminary awards totaled more than $508 million to reach 93,000 unserved households. Participating providers will contribute an additional $321 million in private funding to complete the buildout.
Expanding high‑speed internet to every corner of Mississippi isn’t just about technology — it’s about opportunity. This buildout will strengthen our workforce, support our small businesses, and open the door for new industries to invest in our state. When we connect more Mississippians, we grow our economy, create jobs, and build a stronger future for our people.
